I love listening to books while driving but am a huge fan of this dad's army tv show!
If you've never seen maybe try Britbox to subscribe to the show ( done in the 1960's) simply can't get any funnier stuff than this !
Writers are the best of the UK! !

I love this series ! I'm American but have watched DA since I found it - prolly watched them all 3-4 x but like python these can be enjoyed over and over .
I like that I own these series to listen while driving - if you've never seen this series - it's a TREASURE !!

“Daisy darker “ one of the best books of my lifetime ( I’m 61) this was a beautiful story and hit you in the heart as a mother .
Beware bc it has triggering things like dealing w loss of child ( if you’ve listened to a child this book will be hard for you -IMHO)
Still I found there was hope in this book as well as a real mystery !
I truly didn’t know who did it !

I couldn’t get thru the first chapter

This isn’t a good book , even for those of us who can’t stand Meghan . It’s just read so dramatically that it was ridiculous . The tiny things I don’t give a —- about - her moms past or some arcane thing her dad supposedly called little Meghan is just way way too much information!!
She’s not that interesting except when it comes to meeting Harry & how she’s behaved in red to royal family is why I paid for this book . But sadly I can’t get thru the first part bc I go to sleep !
Maybe the author was trying to fill pages but it should have been much much more concise imho !
I’m trying to return this it was that bad.

I am not sure what MC was thinking but this is HORRIBLE! I heard the word “ mask” about 3 times per SENTENCE ! It was “ he came to the window… put your MASK on… he put his MASK ON .. just on & on - until I couldn’t even get thru the chapter!
I loved the Ballard series abs was looking forward to a new one but this isn’t a mystery it’s a social commentary, not sure WHAT it’s about except common sense like “WEAR A MASK” or be kind to homeless people ?
I am done w MC now ! I cannot trust him to know it’s worth my 15$ (or credit ) I co you for get a refund so it’s just thrown away sadly .
I won’t waste another minute dragging thru this horrible writing tho!
Seriously , check it out free at library BEFORE u buy !

I’m an adult abs love this series !

I cannot tell you how uplifting these Chet & Bernie stories are! As a huge dog lover ( I have 4 ) the thing I adore is how he uses Chet ( the German Shepard ) as narrator ! Bc it’s almost exactly how I’d imagine a dog thinks ! Chet only understands literal meanings so people talking confuse him a lot ! I find myself rolling at some of the things Chet us puzzling about ( just listen to the 1st one abs you’ll be hooked !)

I discovered this author by accident 5 years ago and absolutely count him as one of my top 5 ! I’m always on the “ pre order” w his books ( esp Hawthorne ) I loved the Sherlock Holmes series too!
Treat yourself to a top writer! He’s well known in the UK not as much in the USA!
