Historia
The Success Paradox is the improbable story of a life and business transformed, told in a warmly authentic style that says: “I hit rock bottom, I surrendered, I began doing the opposite of what I’d been doing before, miracles happened, and here’s what you can learn from my journey.” With riveting personal details that illuminate his discoveries, Gary details how he defied the odds—not just to survive but to thrive—by implementing a series of paradoxical strategies, fundamentally opposite to anything he’d ever done before.

Must Read for all ages
Revisado: 10-08-23
I’m 60 years old and I have read hundreds of self-help motivational books over the years…all are helpful and insightful, but this one is special. Gary offers us a different way to think and a different way to approach life and business in a way that we can all relate to. I wish I had read this book 20 years ago, but it’s never too late.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Great Book!!!
Revisado: 05-18-23
I have been thinking about getting this book for several months but I wasn't sure I would like it. After a recommendation from a friend, I decided to give it a try. This is without a doubt one of the best books that I've read or listened to in the last decade. From the beautifully written prose to the great story, this book will be a great American classic. I look forward to reading more from Delia Owens.

Historia
For most of the last hundred years, Biloxi was known for its beaches, resorts, and seafood industry. But it had a darker side. It was also notorious for corruption and vice, everything from gambling, prostitution, bootleg liquor, and drugs to contract killings. The vice was controlled by small cabal of mobsters, many of them rumored to be members of the Dixie Mafia.

Revisado: 10-25-22
If you are looking for Grisham’s trademark taut legal thriller, you aren’t likely to enjoy this book. Boys from Biloxi is long and tedious. I kept thinking it would get better, but it never did…I’m just relieved that it’s over.

Historia
Not since the publication of his own beloved classic Lonesome Dove has there been a novel like this one, another big, brilliant, unputdownable saga of the West from Larry McMurtry. Telegraph Days is at once a major work of literature and a completely absorbing read, not just great fiction, but fiction on a great scale.

Historia
Since the turn of the century, a generation has come of age knowing only war, recession, political gridlock, racial hostility, and a simmering fear of environmental calamity. In the country’s forgotten pockets, where industry long ago fled, where foreclosures, Walmarts, and opiates riddle the land, death rates for rural whites have skyrocketed, fueled by suicide, addiction, and a rampant sense of marginalization and disillusionment. This is the world the characters in Stephen Markley’s brilliant debut novel, Ohio, inherit. This is New Canaan.

Tour de Force of Cynicism
Revisado: 06-16-22
The author clearly has talent, but for his sake, I hope he got all of his negativity out his system before he writes again. The book begins in a frame at the funeral of one of the main characters. As it turns out the young man who died was the only character I didn't hate. I understand that there is negativity in the world we live in, but this book takes it to extremes. Do not waste your time or a credit on this book...the author's worldview is depressing.
