Powerful read

I strongly recommend everyone to listen to this audio. Words spoken in this read were powerful and truthful. I’ve learned more about Black history than in this book that I’ve ever been taught in white america. I’m so ashamed to be born on this continent. I will not consider myself to be American again. But a woman of color. Brown woman with Aztec roots. I’m going to listen to it again. I am intrigued to learn more about Malcom X, the honorable Elijah Muhammad and The Nation of Islam.

Great stories. A bit sad, dirty, and down right realistic. Parts disgusted me, and that may have been the point. These guys are sick they know it and wow.
Should you listen to it. Yes. Absolutely. Will you love it perhaps not. But it’s enjoyable. It’s entertaining.

Great book

The author has an animated voice. In the very beginning it was cringey hearing it, but as soon as she got into her reading I immediately changed my mind about what I was thinking. Her storytelling is fiducially captivating. I felt as if we were on the phone and I was hearing these stories as a conversation. I enjoyed listening to her story. I can relate almost 100% of the way minus our racial backgrounds and location. The ending of the book was a perfect ending to an already amazing book. I applaud this girl for her bravery and vulnerability. I wish I could be friends with her. She will see there are more outcasts just like her. If you ever read this BrittanyRenner, know you are not alone. And I will keep you in my prayers.

Great storyteller. Great choice of words. Very sad story. I couldn’t stop listening. Don’t think just listen to her story. Unfortunately this is the story of many men and women. Who not only travel to LA for the chase of the life of luxury and fame. But all good things must come to an end. And after every high there’s a low. In Karrines case she had many lows.

This book had me crying from start to finish. I’ve read it in the past and I loved it. The Alan’s will through you off but refer to the glossary but some are words that are still used today in certain situations. You have to have a strong mind to read and understand this book.
