Taraji and Tracee are hilarious together!

This performance made me laugh out loud. I thoroughly enjoyed it. With the exception of the times the script used the Lord's name in vain, the adult language was fairly mild. I would have enjoyed it even more and given it 5 stars without the highly offensive "g-damn" and similar exclamations. I wish there was a way to filter for that.

Beautifully Researched and Presented!

I just finished all 10 episodes of the podcast. Jay and Leon did an amazing job of presenting the facts of MJ's career and legacy from beginning to end. Well-researched, well-written, beautifully compelling work.

Loved the story. Didn't love the narrator's depiction of the secondary characters. Most of the female characters sounded like valley girls and male characters like thugs.

Spare Yourself

I absolutely hated it! I listened because it was free. It was so disturbing. I could have also done without the extreme sex and the crass sexual descriptions. Seriously.

The story earned its star from me for the letter at the end. Unfortunately, it was necessary to listen to the entire book to get to the one jewel of the story at the end. Take my advice and spare yourself.

I was considering returning the book at the beginning, concerned about the main character's self-destructive behavior. I'm so glad I hung in just a bit longer. Truly a lovely book!

Wonderful Story of Forgiveness

Thank you, Rachel Hauck for another beautiful book incorporating lessons of God's love. It's too rare these days to find good books that tell engaging stories that you wouldn't be ashamed to share with your parents, Bible study group and adult children alike. I loved this story!

Enjoyable but flawed

The book was entertaining but I was having trouble seeing the characters as middle school students. What parents, educational institution or house "mom" lets middle school students roam completely unsupervised all day every day to the point of where they can get into the kind of trouble described? It's also completely implausible for minors to have unfettered access to very large sums of money, no questions asked.

Wonderful book for anyone.

I encourage everyone to listen to this book! It was enlightening and inspiring. Many books I've listen to by political people tend to be so politically one-sided that I rarely finish them. This was not the case with Becoming. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Loved the Story!

Good story overall. At some points the story was unoriginal, distracting from the story. But I'm glad I stuck with it. It seems that the narrator sometimes confused the character voices. Would have preferred greater differentiation between the characters. It was sometimes hard to tell who was talking and I needed to rewind from time to time to clarify.
