Distracting narrator
Revisado: 06-22-17
The story was interesting but the voice of the performer was an annoying distraction. Pushed thru for the story.

Historia
A missing schoolgirl is found buried in the Dublin Mountains, hands clasped together in prayer, two red ribbons in her hair. Twenty-four hours later, a second schoolgirl is found in a shallow grave - her body identically arranged. The hunt for the killer is on. The police call in criminal psychologist Kate Pearson to get inside the mind of the murderer before he strikes again. But the more Kate discovers about the killings, the more it all feels terrifyingly familiar.

I enjoyed this book very much. It took you deeply inside the mind of a killer and the people that hunt them. I'll read more of this series.

Historia
An historic literary event: the publication of a newly discovered novel, the earliest known work from Harper Lee, the beloved, best-selling author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic To Kill a Mockingbird. Originally written in the mid-1950s, Go Set a Watchman was the novel Harper Lee first submitted to her publishers before To Kill a Mockingbird. Assumed to have been lost, the manuscript was discovered in late 2014.

Thought provoking
Revisado: 05-22-16
The themes of the story sound so harsh to our 2016 ears. But I think this reflects the way people thought and spoke at that time. I wonder how many still think that way?
On the major theme of the book, seeing people we love honestly, and how heartbreaking that can be. the author captured the feelings, the chaos and desperation to hold onto our blind world view. I remembered reading To Kill A Mockingbird and watching the film, I too held Atticus up as a hero, a bright shining star in the darkness. I felt Scout's pain as that dream was crushed. I think this can stand beside Mocking Bird well. I will remember this book for a long time.
