I really enjoyed this book- recognize the struggle of figuring out which mold a mum should fit into it. Fiona always does a great job of narrating, I found the book to be delightful.

Heather Wilds monotone narrative was grueling to listen to, I clung on to the bitter end but frankly there’s nothing in this book or the narration that invites any reader. Don’t waste your time.

Thought it sounded predictable until..

Thought typical KL Slater, but wasn’t ready for that ending! Wow great finish.. didn’t see it coming! I recently listened to “Single” and didn’t much care for it- on listening here I thought it was heading to the usual conclusion. It did not!! Loved it, stick with it.

What an ending!

I have to confess that during the book I wondered why we were dealing with so much of the characters emotions-what could possibly be worth listening to the utter misery they were struggling through. It’s all revealed in the end and my goodness what a listen it was! Stick w this one, you won’t regret it😊

Story predictable

Too many “hard body parts” lol, I don’t want sex sprinkled into my murder/mayhem stories, I stuck w Rita on this series just to finish... I’m finished; the storyline was ok, narration was stilted at times as it has been throughout the series. I’ll prob avoid Rita’s books now as they were just too corny for me. Some surprise elements but not the most intelligent series out there.

What a twist! Must read, couldn’t put it down. Had to push through the narrator to begin with. Just a lazy kind of irritating voice..best story by Mark Edwards I’ve listened to. Prob my third book of his.

Had a hard time to start, getting into this book. Audio seemed painful w narrator of choice, but as the storyline progressed I couldn’t stop reading. Thoroughly enjoyed in the end!

Predictable

I was disappointed with inflection and tone of narration and got quite bored listening at times and had to rewind to repeat and attempt to stay interested. The story itself was ok- just a difficult listen. Didn’t hook me and pull me in, found the ‘romance’ to be superfluous and forced in the book- overall just ok, wouldn’t listen to this author or narrator again.
