Old Depot so sweet
Revisado: 10-15-23
This is a very sweet, heart warming story. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys southern historical stories with happy ending and a bit if a moral teaching. some references to religion was acceptable even thought I personally am not religious.

Heart warming
Revisado: 02-27-22
I hate that the book had to end. I know it's going to be a favorite when I reach the last few chapters and feel I will mourn the end that is coming. This story found me chuckling, and sighing often. It has been one of my most favored.

Heart Warming BUT
Revisado: 02-24-22
While the story was interesting and heart warming the amount of references to loving and believing in God was a bit over the top for me.

Historia
In the 1850s, the young Frederick Law Olmsted was adrift, a restless farmer and dreamer in search of a mission. He found it as an undercover correspondent in the South for the up-and-coming New York Times. For the Connecticut Yankee, pen name "Yeoman", the South was alien, often hostile territory. Yet Olmsted traveled for 14 months, by horseback, steamboat, and stagecoach, seeking dialogue and common ground. Tony Horwitz rediscovers Yeoman Olmsted amidst the discord and polarization of our own time. Is America still one country?
