Historia
The long-awaited sequel to Jake’s Magical Market is finally here—and now with more market! Well, not quite yet. First, Jake has to survive a perilous trek through time if he ever hopes to return home to his friends, his market, and his former world. The last time we saw our intrepid hero, Jake had barely managed to escape being trapped on a dead version of his own world. Using a combination of his new powers, he threw himself backward through time, back to when the god that trapped him first rose to power.

nice transition
Revisado: 04-28-24
being an author and narrator, I totally understand what it takes to put out a series and stay consistent. all I can say is well done all of you. although I have a lot of books by the other narrator, I absolutely love what you did for this book. I say that in all seriousness, because I forgot what the other narrator did with the series. that is not to discredit what he did because I love him and his narrator voice, but it is sad to credit current narrator and all he's done. honestly, I think it was a very wise and fortunate transition.

Historia
Jake is working at the neighborhood market under his apartment when the world ends. He expected nuclear war, a computer virus, or even climate change burning everyone to a crisp to bring about the downfall of civilization. But cruel and arbitrary gods from another world? Who would have guessed that? When these cruel gods shuffled Earth like a deck of cards, nothing was in the same place anymore. Monsters, dungeons, and magical items appear scattered across the globe. And suddenly, everyone has access to a new, strange magical card system that gives them magical powers.

Narrator is over the top awesome
Revisado: 01-29-24
just when I thought the character gets overpowered, each time he's totally humbled. this story kept building and building, and just when I couldn't believe it could build more it did. I don't know this author, but I send major kudos to him for his story. well done author.

Revisado: 10-09-22
Really enjoyed the story and production. I'm not a vampire fan at all but this story made me even like them. Well done on the character richness and depth without being too complex. Love the layers.

More decks, more cards, more goblins! Reborn into a world of magic, Gareth saved his adopted home from the ravages of their ancient enemy. Not that anyone noticed. Whilst the city rebuilds, Gareth turns his attention towards a new goal, the upcoming grand tournament! If he’s going to compete Gareth will need to get stronger. That means taking on more quests, earning more levels, and discovering powerful new cards for his deck. Along with his friends, a former goddess, a deposed demon lord and their constantly annoyed watcher, he sets off on what sounds like an easy job.

Historia
Rue Brennan’s name means “regret” and “sorrow”. And by golly, she’s determined to live up to that name. Living in a tiny studio apartment in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and piecing together odd jobs, her boyfriend, Spencer, thinks she can do better. He convinces Rue to take a job working for cyber forensic consultant and private investigator Darwin Fennec. In an unexpected twist of fate, Darwin and Rue find themselves attending the theater on the same night, each witnessing the murder of a stage actress. The only problem is, they both have become suspects.

Quirky in a fun way
Revisado: 06-29-22
The audiobook gave me a more rich experience I think than reading it.
Story:
I really like that it was written in the time frame of 1997. Knowing what was going on in my life at the time, and the technology as well, it was nostalgic for me... even though I was born in the early 60s. The 90s were an eventful part of my life. The story was accurate with the times and very well done. The author securely set you in that time frame with grace.
I will admit, this genre isn't typically the genre I buy, Though I have bought a series in this genre before and enjoyed it. So I thought why not!? I'm glad I did. I won't give spoilers, but Rue and Midge are quite the pair.
The author did a great job making each character rich in a shorter. I like them both a lot but for different reasons. That is a sign of a great author. Well done!
Performance:
The ONLY reason this audiobook didn't get 5 stars from me was the quality difference between the male and female voices was distracting for the first few chapters. Don't get me wrong, Danielle and Graham did a great job narrating, but it didn't take me long to adjust.
Overall, thanks for the great experience.

When an accident claims his life, Gareth finds himself reborn on Acamida. Dropped into a world where sorcerers draw magical power from a deck of cards, summoning monsters and flinging spells, Gareth must adapt to having arcane power at his fingertips. It’s just a shame he’s found himself with the weakest cards around - goblins!

I'm always a fan of the interviews that this show does during the countdown, but this first interview with Jo Youle a ways in got into something we all need to be aware of. For me, it was the feature of the episode. Thank you Graham and Jo.
