sorry Micah. Gus does better intros.
Revisado: 04-04-25
I usually have multiple tiny things to comment on when listening to these episodes. I have to write them down quick before I forget. =
1. I'm really sorry Micah. I have to say I miss Sustavo Girola doing the intros. sorry. by the way I love calling Gus Sustavo Girola.
2. I can burp on command! One time I burped so much I couldn't stop for a whole 2 days.
3. I believe Chris when he says he went to Gus's house. I don't think anybody else does though.
4. Blane's beginning to sound like Kyborg at the very beginning. he'll be like " hey what's up ".

Eddie?
Revisado: 04-02-25
The human gardener with the pickaxe. their motif is very very very similar to Eddie's from the Groteth campaign. is that a coincidence? also, never eaten nerds gummies. I like gummy bears better.

Historia
Theo Stein-Meyer loves being part of the Magic Misfits. Armed with his trusty violin bow, he completes the team with his levitation skills, unflappable calm, and proper manners. But when a girl named Emily begins to spend time with the group, Theo is surprisingly drawn to her. She seems to understand the pull he feels between music and magic, between family and friends. Then a famous ventriloquist arrives in town, and the Misfits are sure he (and his creepy dummy) are up to no good.

terrible narration.
Revisado: 10-04-24
I really really don't like the narrator in this book. he doesn't make everybody sound like what they do in the previous books. The last two books had narrators that brought out the emotion in people the way I thought NPH's stories should, but this guy didn't seem to have the flair. I miss NPH. I wish I could like it as much as I had hoped I would. but, Alas. tis not so.

LOVE IT!!!!!! 😻😁❤️💝💖💕
Revisado: 09-02-24
The poems are so cute! I love A.A. Milne. Winnie the Pooh is one of our childhood classics. I love how Peter Dennis reads the poems. The poems make me feel like I'm in nature as a little child. I am 10 years old but I still play and think like an imaginative little girl. That's what I like to be! and these poems make it very easy for me to feel at home like that.

detective Alex!
Revisado: 08-28-24
I really really like the challenges her mom sets up for her. The mysteries are great for the story, and I like to hear about Hawaii. I want to go to Hawaii when I grow up but volcanoes still erupt around there and I don't want to live in a place that has erupting volcanoes. other than that, Hawaii is great. I also enjoy that they do origami in this book. I've always wanted to learn how to do origami but never found time to practice.
thank you Wendy S. Swore for this book! Love it! ❤️❤️❤️😁😁😁

P.S. Even if I don't want to live in Hawaii I would still love to visit.

Historia
Jacqueline Saper, named after Jacqueline Kennedy, was born in Tehran to Iranian and British parents. At 18 she witnessed the civil unrest of the 1979 Iranian revolution and continued to live in the Islamic Republic during its most volatile times, including the Iran-Iraq War. In a deeply intimate and personal story, Saper recounts her privileged childhood in prerevolutionary Iran and how she gradually became aware of the paradoxes in her life and community - primarily the disparate religions and cultures.

A Story That Needed to Be Told
Revisado: 05-29-24
I've been waiting for a solid few days of driving to be able t to listen to this beginning to end. It was incredible to hear about the many many changes before and after the revolution, especially in light of todays global politics. The western countries do not do enough to really undertand the logic and cultural nuances of other people. No nation does, not really, except we more than others SHOULD. Our precious freedoms are used for petty things, while others fight for a doctor's visit or haircut without neing spat on or arrested for being the wrong religion. So this story needs to be told and retold, along with many others.

LOVED IT
Revisado: 05-09-24
As a stereotypical white person. I'm glad that they didn't focus a lot on racism directly. They did a bit and it was part of the story and well done so I like it. some people might not know This but the black panthers were actually as racist as the kkk Okay, the black panthers were less racist to buy one good Goal., bad methods. While the kkk had a bad goal and a bad method. But still pretty close. They did probably almost the exact same things to white people as the kkk did to black.

This is the touching story of the benevolent naturalist who roamed the Ohio valley in the early 1800s, planting apple orchards, making friends, and spreading goodwill along his way. Known to early settlers as a gentle soul with a reverence for all life, Johnny never missed a chance to save an abandoned animal or to savor a delicious apple pie. Garrison Keillor's narration is accompanied by original music by Mark O'Connor. Ages five and up.

overall three stars. performance two stars. story 4 stars.
Revisado: 04-15-24
I didn't like the choice of music. I considered maybe they shouldn't have had music at all. The narrating was okay but not my favorite. The storyline was good. I like the idea of not hurting living things. Three brides in heaven doesn't seem like a reward, in fact I think it just seems very confusing. why would you want to have three brides? That's a lot to keep track of. Plus the brides could get into a lot of arguments. oh, and eating mud? not a problem for the story, but, blagh.
