Historia
Broken Money explores the history of money through the lens of technology. Politics can affect things temporarily and locally, but technology is what drives things forward globally and permanently. The book's goal is for the listener to walk away with a deep understanding of money and monetary history, both in terms of theoretical foundations and in terms of practical implications.

Historia
After Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin dropped out of college and launched Bitcoin Magazine, he wrote the Ethereum white paper, which proposed an open source protocol that would take what Bitcoin did for money and do it for everything else: contracts, social networks, and sharing economies. Now, less than a decade later, his idea is valued at about half a trillion dollars, and it is the foundation for the weird new world of NFT artworks, virtual real estate, and decentralized autonomous organizations.

Unbearable narration
Revisado: 09-23-23
If you like YOUR books narrated buy a voice ACTOR who was TRAINED to modulate his voice to AVOID sounding monotonous but who CLEARLY is not understanding the sentences he is READING then you will find NEITHER his reading style nor my similarly styled REVIEW annoying. As for me, I FOUND it highly distracting to CONTINUALLY restate his sentences in MY head with the emphasis PROPERLY adjusted. Worst narration by far of my 60+ Audible audiobooks so far. Whoever approved this production needs some frank feedback.

Historia
Hardship is now equated with victimhood. Outward displays of vulnerability in defeat are celebrated over winning unabashedly. The pursuit of excellence and exceptionalism are at the heart of American identity, and the disappearance of these ideals in our country leaves a deep moral and cultural vacuum in its wake. But the solution isn’t to simply complain about it. It’s to revive a new cultural movement in America that puts excellence first again.

...the ability to listen to the other side and learn from it. Personally, I cannot bring myself to read authors or publications that have betrayed my trust in the past. Vivek must certainly have had similar feelings, but he continues to give them a chance and so captures their good points that I would otherwise have missed. Both sides have good points, if only we could hear them over the fray.

The action begins as Bumppo, called "Deerslayer", and his friend Hurry Harry approach Lake Glimmerglass, or Oswego, where the trapper Thomas Hutter lives with his daughters, the beautiful Judith and the feeble-minded Hetty. Hutter's floating log fort is attacked by Iroquois Indians, and the two frontiersmen join in the fight.

Historia
Having inspired a classic film and Broadway play, The Caine Mutiny is Herman Wouk's boldly dramatic, brilliantly entertaining novel of life—and mutiny—on a Navy warship in the Pacific theater. It was immediately embraced upon its original publication as one of the first serious works of American fiction to grapple with the moral complexities and the human consequences of the Second World War. In the intervening half century, this gripping story has become a perennial favorite, selling millions throughout the world, and claiming the Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

Historia
From the number-one New York Times best-selling author of The Right Words at the Right Time comes a one-of-a-kind collection of inspiring stories about ordinary women who have reinvented themselves in extraordinary ways. "You can be anything you want to be." "Reach for the moon." "It's never too late to make a change." We've heard it all. But anyone who has ever tried to make a big life change knows that it can be a bit more complicated - and scary - than that. How do you get up the nerve (and confidence) to actually take the leap?

Historia
Dostoevsky studied human nature with passion and precision. He plumbed the depths and never winced at what he found, even when it was beyond his understanding. This extraordinary novel is a recital of his findings, told in the story of four brothers: Dimitri, pleasure-seeking, impatient, unruly; Ivan, brilliant and morose; Alyosha, gentle, loving, honest; and the illegitimate Smerdyakov, sly, silent, cruel. What give this story its dramatic grip is the part these brothers play in their father's murder.

Rambling storyline. Not a great narrator.
Revisado: 08-27-19
This rambling story will mildly entertain you for many hours but lacks a focused, integrated punch. It is like Cervantes' Don Quixote that way. The narrator has a pleasant voice and does a decent job distinguishing the various characters, but occasionally misreads, emphasizing the wrong word or pausing in the wrong place. I most appreciated learning something about Russians' self conception: passionate, honorable, and intimate with suffering.
