Historia
The long-awaited sequel to Jake’s Magical Market is finally here—and now with more market! Well, not quite yet. First, Jake has to survive a perilous trek through time if he ever hopes to return home to his friends, his market, and his former world. The last time we saw our intrepid hero, Jake had barely managed to escape being trapped on a dead version of his own world. Using a combination of his new powers, he threw himself backward through time, back to when the god that trapped him first rose to power.

Great second installment!
Revisado: 03-08-24
The explanation at the beginning to explain the new voice of Jake was almost unnecessary, after a chapter or two you don’t even notice. The story itself was a perfect continuation of the first book and I can’t wait for the third.

Historia
Michael Hollister killed his father 88 times to avenge the dark acts visited upon him. When he was sent to Hartfield Academy, he adopted an entirely new family, including a brother, Max. Almost 40 years after he arrived at the academy, Michael and Max still live their quiet life where they shape boys into men and men into soldiers. A trip to the war memorials in Washington D.C. turns out to be too much for Max and he begins to fade. Max has always depended on Michael for everything, but in the end, who is really depending on who?

What a great way to wrap up a great story

This was such a fantastic little sidebar to the Middle Falls series. It answers a few questions and despite some sad moments, was a very satisfying conclusion to Max's story.

Historia
In High Earth, digital entertainment is everything. Shows. Virtual worlds. Simulations - there’s something for everybody in a city where working for a living has been rendered obsolete by technological advancements. Even a short walk outside to visit with others is no longer necessary. Just load into the network and you can be with anyone, anywhere. For Asher Reinhart, nothing compares to Ignis; a live reality show that pushes human beings to their very extremes.

It took a while to get its legs under it
Revisado: 04-28-22
This is what I'd call a second half book. It turned out to be a pretty good story but it just took a while to get to it. I'll likely listen to it again to see if a second pass improves it now that I know the characters better. I also usually don't care for more than 1 narrator but Wil and Katherine did a great job and I see the need for it.

Cassandra Collins is forced to make a choice. She can do what she's told and have a safe, protected life. Or she can strike out on her own and make her own way. Cassandra chooses the easy path and regrets it her whole life. Until she dies and wakes up in her 18-year-old body, on the cusp of that same decision.

Not as good as the rest of the series
Revisado: 05-01-19
I have really enjoyed the Middle Falls series and the stories of people finding the right path, even if it takes many lives. This one amounts to a story about someone’s life. Every time it could be interesting, it fails. I know anyone that has gotten this far in the series will push through this one but I sure hope the next is more interesting.
