Historia
Jada Pinkett Smith was living what many would view as a fairy-tale of Hollywood success. But appearances can be deceiving, and as she felt more and more separated from her sense of self, emotional turmoil took hold. Sparing no detail, Worthy chronicles her life.

Deep. Raw. Wow.
Revisado: 07-11-24
This book had me get to know the real woman that jada is and was. Coming from similar backgrounds and era with inner city crime / violence and hope, I got every word she wrote. I felt every word she wrote. You can feel her whole soul poured into the story. Highly recommended for anyone that has a misunderstood viewpoint of what the media has placed on her, hear her side . Hear her heart and dreams.

One stayed at home to raise her children and manage the family apple orchard; the other followed a dream and traveled the world to become a famous photojournalist. But when their beloved father falls ill, Meredith and Nina find themselves together again, standing alongside their cold, disapproving mother, Anya, who even now, offers no comfort to her daughters.

Another great novel based on historical events. As will of this author’s book I learn something new and am fascinated with how I am drawn to the characters that I will miss now that the story has ended.

Get the tissues out
Revisado: 02-17-24
This novel was written in a way that the reader is transported back to that time in history. I was born in 1970 and my oldest brother went to Vietnam. He came back home the day I was born and always mentioned that he had to walk 2 days after coming back because no one would give him a ride. I never really understood what that meant until now. But the women….they were forgotten in this war. This is a story that needed to be written. Great work!

Just what I needed
Revisado: 01-12-24
As I finished the Cuba Saga , sad to have let the characters go and wondering what to read next , this filled that void! It’s short and sweet and the perfect dessert to the complete saga.

Gripping until the end
Revisado: 01-11-24
I binged all 6 books of the Cuba Saga and this one was my favorite. It had everything in it that kept me listening wanting more and satisfied with the ending of the characters. I think what I love most about this authors stories are the real historical background. I have learned so much while reading each story so that it doesn’t just end when the story is over.

Impeccable Historical Background
Revisado: 01-07-24
I simply cannot get enough of the Perez sisters, but to get a look into their mother’s history was the perfect touch to this saga. I have binged all 5 books and am a little sad that it will be coming to an end in book 6. Chanel Cleeton has great talent and I am eager to read her other novels.

Historia
In this honest, layered and unforgettable book that alternates between storytelling and her own poetry, Pamela Anderson breaks the mold of the celebrity memoir while taking back the tale that has been crafted about her. Her blond bombshell image was ubiquitous in the 1990s. Discovered in the stands of a football game, she was immediately rocket launched into fame, becoming Playboy’s favorite cover girl and an emblem of Hollywood glamour and sexuality. But what happens when you lose grip on your own life—and the image the notoriety machine creates for you is not who you really are?
