So disappointing after 1st book. The story might be good. However, the Naration is so off putting it wasn't possible to keep listening. after the 1 st 4 hours I couldn't do it.

Perhaps listen to learn what not to do?
A natural, or man caused 80% loss of power inferstructure and resource distribution means 90% of people in first world countries, will be dead, the 1st year. The main characters would not do well enough to make it past year one ASHTF.

So Good, so plausible, so relevant!

This story could be true. Infact. each plot point did happen in our America over the past year. Only to different folks; in different cities and towns. I was subject to mob rage and attacked in my suv, like the character in the book, this summer in Philadelphia. Like her, I was minding my business, and got my vehicle surrounded, jumped on, windows smashed, with bricks, ball bats, and rocks. In the end, I was ok, I forced my way out and my vehicle wasn't breached. But the city cops harassed me about my hand gun (even though I have had a carry permit for 30 years; and didn't brandish it, or fire a shot). Their first questions from them were if I was carrying that day; which I found both annoying and alarming. After that I had me attorney present for all calls and my statement. Not one of the mob has been questioned or arrested yet, to my knowledge. Despite front and rear view video and cellphone footage of the event.... It sucks that prepper fiction is becoming current events. Let's hope for peace, keep our powder dry, and "Embrace the suck!" Great book, great performance, unfortunately, almost not fiction.

I wish these voice preformers would get some technical advisors to correct their gun verbiage. A Ruger 10/22 is called a "ten twenty two". A 30-06 is called a "thirty odd six". It detracts from the authenticity of characters.

Completely off par with the ancillary spin off stories of encounters and lifes altered by Jesus Christ. This ain't Ben Hur! What makes this book a guilty pleasure, is its assault on the current filters of Feminism, and Political Correctness. The word craft of this tale, punches one in the gut like gulp of two fingers of Old Crow whisky. Unapologetic Pulp fiction....Mac Bolen meets Conan the Barbarian.
