Historia
When you’re the editor of a successful investigative journal, you don’t dash around Scotland chasing after loch monsters. But Gill McArdle didn’t believe in unicorns either, and speaking honestly, he was fortunate to walk away from that one. He’s a scientist, and not one of the wild-eyed optimists spending their days, scanning the loch for a creature. And here’s his problem. With every passing hour, evidence mounts that something is stirring.

Great story!
Revisado: 02-13-25
Fun read! I love the use of legend and historical lore in this modern day read. The characters were well developed and I cared what happened to them all. I especially liked the inter weaving of spirituality and the supernatural. We all need a guardian angel like Rafael!

Historia
Molly Gray is not like everyone else. She struggles with social skills and misreads the intentions of others. Her gran used to interpret the world for her, codifying it into simple rules that Molly could live by. Since Gran died a few months ago, twenty-five-year-old Molly has been navigating life’s complexities all by herself. No matter—she throws herself with gusto into her work as a hotel maid. Her unique character, along with her obsessive love of cleaning and proper etiquette, make her an ideal fit for the job.

Historia
1468. A young priest, Christopher Fairfax, arrives in a remote Exmoor village to conduct the funeral of his predecessor. The land around is strewn with ancient artifacts - coins, fragments of glass, human bones - which the old parson used to collect. Did his obsession with the past lead to his death? Fairfax becomes determined to discover the truth. Over the course of the next six days, everything he believes - about himself, his faith, and the history of his world - will be tested to destruction.

Great listen!
Revisado: 10-20-22
I loved the narrator. He was able to take on female and male characters with alacrity.
The story was a bit disturbing only in that it seemed so very plausible.I loved that the central characters were flawed, as we all are.
Contrary to other reviews, I found the ending fitting and in a way simply peaceful.

Entertaining
Revisado: 07-22-22
Plot was decent but the storyline stretched believability often. Still, a fun, entertaining book and who doesn’t love a story with strong women that can find ways to defend themselves against male bad guys!
Storytellers did a great job with voices!
