Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Great Read
Revisado: 03-06-15
What made the experience of listening to Star Runners the most enjoyable?
Good storyline that keeps you interested.
What did you like best about this story?
This story continues to build with the hero gaining with each new experience.
What does Donald R Emero bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I prefer a good performance like this to bring out the depth of the characters involved. Emero does just that.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have loved to but at 10 hours plus I just couldn't do it. Took me two settings.
Any additional comments?
L. E. Thomas is an excellent author and I hope to see more stories in the future.

Historia
Imagine a ship the size of a planet. It has an atmosphere of methane, but there is no water. Mysterious and dark, it sails through a gateway, leaving a path open to the most implacable enemies that mankind and the aliens of the Milky Way Galaxy have ever face. Genetically tailored, symbiotic body armor protects the human commandos that are to be dropped on the metallic surface. A trooper in his armor, with surgically enhanced, neuro-fiber speed, is the deadliest grunt in the universe.

Historia
It was just a godforsaken mountainside, but no place on earth was richer in silver. For a bustling, enterprising America, this was the great bonanza. The dreamers, the restless, the builders, the vultures - they were lured by the glittering promise of instant riches and survived the brutal hardships of a mining camp to raise a legendary boom town. But some sought more than wealth. Val Trevallion, a loner haunted by a violent past. Grita Redaway, a radiantly beautiful actress driven by an unfulfilled need.

Historia
From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head.

Mandatory reading for all patriots!
Revisado: 01-11-12
This book should be mandatory reading for anyone who calls themselves a patriot. It is truly written through the eyes of a warrior. The type of man/woman who you hope will rises to the occasion when their country calls. Students of history will also see what happens when politicians fight a war. The same mistakes that cost us Viet Nam are now being made again in Iraq and Afghanistan. It proves once again that some people will never learn.

Historia
Retired Marine Master Sergeant Marcus Johnson returned to his family homestead in rural Alaska after 20 years chasing bad men. Now he wants nothing but to hunt and fish and run his trapline in peace and quiet, and no more war. Meanwhile, lurking deep in a long forgotten bunker in the remote arctic hills is a decades-old secret that could not be destroyed, and was never meant to be rediscovered.

Revisado: 10-03-11
Having lived in Alaska for 25 years I found this book to be using for the most part realistic facts about Alaska. The story line is interesting and keeps youi coming back for more. The author does an excellent job of inter weaving the military with the State police. Well worth the listen.

Revisado: 06-29-11
Having read or listen to all of Clancys' works I was shocked at the poor quality of this book. World class explorers going in to Napal right next to China without a GPS, radio or emergency locator beacon - give me a break. More like fantacy land! I was hard pressed to finsh the CD.

A clandestine German vessel sets sail to resupply submarines in the South Atlantic...as a massive shipment of money earmarked for postwar Reich makes its way to South America...and a coup designed to topple the government reaches critical mass. Great book, terrible reading!
Revisado: 03-18-11
I have almost 200 audio books in my personal library. While WEB Griffin is a master at writing, Michael Russotto is the worst narrator I have ever come across. Many of the characters come across more female than male. In my opinion this is an exceptionally bad reading and materially detracts from an otherwise great book. So poor is the reading that I cannot recommend this as an audio book.
