Historia
When Colton Burpo made it through an emergency appendectomy, his family was overjoyed at his miraculous survival. What they weren’t expecting, though, was the story that emerged in the months that followed—a story as beautiful as it was extraordinary, detailing their little boy’s trip to heaven and back.

A tremendous shot in the arm to your faith
Revisado: 04-26-11
Even though I am a believer, I must be honest and admit that I do have my moments of wondering if it’s all real. As most thinking Christians look around, there is the inevitable time when we ask ourselves the hard questions. I’m betting my entire life and after life on the gift of Salvation offered by the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and I want to be certain I haven’t taken anything for granted. As a result of that mindset I am one who openly welcomes a boost to my faith. This book provided that and then some. If you possess the gift of unshakable faith then perhaps this book will not go beyond the realm of interesting. For the rest of us it is far more. I admit to being very cautious before diving into such works. So at the advice of my closest friend and Pastor, I listened to the book with an open hand. At no time did the book violate Scripture so I am left to only wonder at the amazing possibility that every word is true. I especially enjoyed the part of what Jesus looks like. I won’t tell you about that…you’ll have to get the book to solve that mystery. Trust me, that alone is worth it. One word of caution, as a parent the first third of the book is difficult to listen to. I cannot imagine the pain the Burpo family endured and it made listening as a father painful. It is all necessary to the overall story, but I wasn’t prepared for that side of the story and it took me by surprise so be ready.
In close, if you could use a boost to your faith then I highly recommend this book. Oh, also, the narrator did a wonderful job. A narrator can make or break an audio book; my compliments to Dean Gallagher for a job well done. Now, give this a listen and enjoy the ride.

It was a world gone wrong, one in which manufacturers thought little of manipulating product quality levels in order to save the smallest amounts, where savvy foreign business leaders were made to feel in control while they were taken for a ride by their partners, where entire manufacturing facilities sometimes vanished right into thin air... Welcome to Poorly Made in China!

Most important book on importing from China
Revisado: 03-12-10
My small company has been navigating the China landscape for several years. It is a difficult terrain at best. If you are currently or are considering doing business in China then this book is an absolute must. The author's insight into the inner workings of China are sobering and anyone working with China needs to understand the experience Mr. Midler has achieved. I cannot recommend this book highly enough....get it, devour it, learn from it!

Historia
America has been craving leadership - and at last a gun-slinging, mega-rock star, deerslayer, and patriot has stepped forward to provide it. Make way for Ted Nugent. Cocked, locked, and ready to rock, the Motor City Madman, the thinking man's Abraham Lincoln, has unleashed the ultimate high-octane political manifesto for the ages in Ted, White, and Blue - the most important patriotic statement since the Constitution.

Revisado: 09-04-09
This book was a hoot! Personally I enjoyed listening to Ted Nugent narrate his book. Yeah, from time to time the prolonged descriptions got a little long in the tooth. At the end of it all the book was fun. Even if you don't agree with him you have to give the man credit for his passion for life and the conviction of his positions. If you enjoy the Nuge then I say download it...if, however, you find yourself at odds with his right-of-center positions then spare yourself the aggravation.

Historia
From both an economic and monetary perspective, the United States is a house of cards; impressive on the outside, but a disaster waiting to happen beneath the surface. In a relatively short period of time, the country has gone from the world's largest creditor to its greatest debtor; the value of the dollar has declined; and manufacturing has given way to non-exportable services.

Well worth the time
Revisado: 12-04-08
The book IS a bit too long and Schiff could have made his points in much less time. However, what he has to say is so spot-on that it is worth taking the time to muddle through the 8+ hours. Listening to him predict the coming housing crash feels more like a history lesson than a prediction - as this was written in 2006. The book is well worth your time. Just be prepared to have many of your held beliefs in our US economy challenged.

Historia
In The Coming Economic Collapse, Dr. Leeb shows that the U.S. economy is standing on the brink of the biggest crisis in history.
As the fast-growing economies of China and India push global demand for oil beyond production capacity, Americans will experience a permanent energy shortfall far worse than the one in the 1970s. The result will be severe financial hardship for most people, and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for investors to become incredibly rich.
This is an urgent call-to-arms to avert an all-but-certain catastrophe and a survival kit for an era that offers us only two financial choices: poverty or wealth.

Only So So
Revisado: 09-07-06
I'm inclined to agree with Eduard from Brookfield, WI. Overall the book is interesting, but find it difficult to accept the collapse of the world scenario presented. I agree that we do need an agressive alternative energy program....but what is new about that idea? We have all known this for a long time now. When gas hits a certain level then other fuels become enconomical and alternatives will become available. I cannot give this book a yea nor a nay, if this interests you then listen to it. If not, select another title as this book was just a bit too one sided for me.

Godless is the most explosive audiobook yet from number one New York Times best-selling author Ann Coulter. In this completely original and thoroughly controversial work, Coulter writes, "Liberals love to boast that they are not 'religious', which is what one would expect to hear from the state-sanctioned religion. Of course liberalism is a religion."

Wish Ann Narrated
Revisado: 06-30-06
I love Ann's material and this book is as good or better than her previous books. My only disappointment is that Ann herself did not narrate the book. While the reader does a credible job, she is not Ann Coulter. Part of the fun of an Ann Coulter audio book is to actually listen to Ann and all her wit being put across exactly the way she wants it. She is a wonderful narrator of her own books - so that is my only (but big) disappointment. Still a great book.

Historia
Visionary entrepreneur Daniel Nissanoff breaks the news that the eBay auction phenomenon is about to revolutionize how all consumers do their shopping, not only online, but offline as well. The big payoff of this revolution is that consumers will be able to "trade up" by embracing a new norm of temporary ownership. We'll be transformed from an "accumulation nation" into an "auction culture".

Little relavant information
Revisado: 04-07-06
This book unfortunately is the essence of what I dislike about today's books...too much filler and too little content. In this book the author does in fact discuss the eBay phenomenon, but there are vast amounts of irrelavant historical accounts about flea markets and other factoids that have nothing at all to do with the title. I can sum up this book in a few words - used things will be easier to sell in the future and they have real value today so leverage those things you presently own and turn them into cash. That's it. Could have been said in under 2 hours not 7.

Historia
When he hit the airwaves 30 years ago, John Stossel helped create a whole new category of news, dedicated to protecting and informing consumers. As a crusading reporter, he chased snake-oil peddlers, rip-off artists, and corporate thieves, winning the applause of his peers.
But along the way, he noticed that there was something far more troublesome going on: While the networks screamed about the dangers of exploding BIC lighters and coffeepots, worse risks were ignored.

I found this book fascinating from beginning to end. Stossel does a masterful job of helping us to realize how our good intentions have actually caused us much more harm than good. I highly recommend this book to anyone intersted in seeing through the muck.

Dry
Revisado: 02-22-05
Sorry to disagree with the other reviewers, but I found this to be dry. The title is misleading as the book did not attempt to explain the question of God, rather it contained the life stories of these two radically different men. As such, unless you are sincerely interested in the history of CS Lewis (whose work I greatly admire) and Freud, I would not recommend this work as that is primarily what the book contains.

Don't do it
Revisado: 01-16-04
This book is so utterly useless. I'm a practical person and so ramblings of the deep introspection hold little value to me. If you value practical and applicable musing, then don't go down this road as it will only frustrate you. I found myself laughing at this man's insane attempts to understand the most mundane and trivial issues of life.
