Disjointed with Potential

This felt like listening to 3 different books, not just one. A lot of time was spent in the beginning of the book establishing and developing characters that totally disappeared. It only makes sense when establishing the foundation for a long series. It was something different, which is welcomed. I will await the next book in the series to if this is just something to pass the time, or a masterwork in the making.

Great Story but Too Much Filler

This series has my attention. Book three was a turning point when it went from an average story in the genre to something that stood out. Nevertheless, as great as the story is in book four it had too much filler. Flashbacks and too frequent stat checks. As someone who has listened to nearly 300 books in the LitRPG category I can say I really appreciate originality and unexpected plot twists. Protagonist development is also welcomed. This series has them both. But the pressure to meet deadlines and flow in the often passing inspiration is something many present day authors face especially when they are writing more than one book at once. But veteran fans, readers, and listeners want quality. We are willing to wait for greatness.

Masterful

The substance, consistency, and character development standout in this book. The relateabity in the perspective and decision making has this one standing just a little above some of the previous books in the series. Bravo.

Lots of Action, Less Fluff.

Lit RPG/ Game RPG is definitely my favorite. I'm approaching nearly 300 titles listened. Book 3 left me feeling like I got my monies worth, while looking forward to the next book in the series. Zane Walker is an antagonist that many can love. And from my expertise there's enough material here for a 15 book series or more. Maybe that's wishful thinking but the ground work and foundation has been set.

Great Continuation

This book is definitely more fast-paced than the last. This series and its predecessor remind me how important it is to have great friends and a team on your side, or in your corner when you are destined for big things. The two previous books had great character development, but I was happy to get some of the old Thorn back. He has grown and matured but can still give a beat down from upclose and from afar.

Still going Strong

I'm happy to continue this journey. Character development and story consistency don't always go hand in hand over a three book series, let alone ten books. Very few of the genre last this long. And as someone that has listened to more than 200 LitRPG books and the like I can say usually around books 7-8 authors start to rush to closure, usually to focus on newer projects. I, for one am thankful that this isn't the case with this series.

The Saga Continues

The character development in book 5 is greatly appreciated. And learning more about the Sword Saint was a pleasant surprise as well. Book 6 will definitely be pre-ordered when made available.

Greatness

Well developed characters that I've become so attached to. Book 7 has me excited for book 8 and sad at the same time. I don't want to see the series end. I'm hoping for a spin off series of at least 3 more books at the end of this one.

As someone that has listen to all 9 books I can sincerely say that Jason's character development over the series thus far is award winning. I actually feel like I relate to him in book 9 the most. I wanted a little bit more action, but the last few chapters left me excited for what comes next. I feel like book 10 is definitely going to be pre-ordered. Book 9 feels it ended at the good part and has left me wanting more. I'm sure this is by design.

📚 3 of 5 Keeps your Attention

Steady character growth and a few unexpected events has me waiting for book 4. So much has happened since book 1 and a part of is wishing that this was a 10 book series.
