Waste of time
Revisado: 05-22-17
This book is no more than a collection of news stories about cyber activity mixed with the mundane office politics in the various responsible government department.

Plot is weak, narration is good.
Revisado: 09-28-16
Plot is weak and predictable. Writing style is artless. Narration is fine. More of a grocery store paperback, than a worthwhile novel.

Historia
In Wildlife Wars, Terry Grosz serves up fascinating stories - alternately hair-raising, hilarious, and heart-wrenching - from his 30-year struggle to protect wildlife in America. A natural storyteller, Grosz writes about the remarkable characters he met - on both sides of the law - as he matched wits with elk poachers, salmon snaggers, commercial-market duck hunters, and a host of other law-breakers. Best of all, though, these stories are so remarkably entertaining you won't want to put them down.

Comically bad writing
Revisado: 03-04-16
The stories are fine, but the writing is atrocious. The stories should just have been told orally. The writing definitely takes away from the stories.

Historia
Extensively revised by Nabokov in 1965 - 30 years after its original publication - Despair is the wickedly inventive and richly derisive story of Hermann, a man who undertakes the perfect crime: his own murder. One of the 20th century’s master prose stylists, Vladimir Nabokov was born in St. Petersburg in 1899. He studied French and Russian literature at Trinity College, Cambridge, then lived in Berlin and Paris, where he launched a brilliant literary career. In 1940 he moved to the United States, and achieved renown as a novelist, poet, critic, and translator.

Beautiful Prose

Any additional comments?
Nabokov is a master prose-writer. I really enjoyed the beauty and cleverness of his writing. After Lolita, this was the second book I listened to by Nabokov. I can't wait to listen to more of his works.

Very few valuable insights.
Revisado: 12-23-12
What did you like best about Never Eat Alone? What did you like least?
The story of the author is inspiring. He went from being a working class kid to becoming a successful businessman. However, the book is self-congratulatory and very light on any real insights. The book is mostly common sense. The predominant thought I had reading the book was that the author was not qualified and hadn't formed nearly enough original ideas to be writing a book.
