Historia
Born into the minor aristocracy (as Eugenia Peterson), Devi grew up in the midst of one of the most turbulent times in human history. Forced to flee the Russian Revolution as a teenager, she joined a famous Berlin cabaret troupe, dove into the vibrant prewar spiritualist movement, and, at a time when it was nearly unthinkable for a young European woman to travel alone, followed the charismatic theosophical leader Jiddu Krishnamurti to India.

Overall great and...

This is a great story about an amazing woman. The book had two faults. 1). the reader's pronunciations were incorrect and at first off putting and later became humorous they were so bad.
2). The summing up of events concerning The Theosophical movement and Blavatsky were not accurate and the writer seemed to have a negative view and thus a bias. Otherwise it was a fascinating book.

Great concept and execution!

If you could sum up Murder in the 11th House in three words, what would they be?
Loved this book!
What did you like best about this story?
Loved how he brought in astrology, some legal history about it, and the politics of greed/paranoia of the entitled, privileged super rich. Plus his astrology was accurate and enlightening. The story was well constructed and kept me quessing...not predictable like many mysteries.
What about John Lescault’s performance did you like?
Well performed.
Any additional comments?
Just as good, if not better than his previous book. Can't wait for his next one.

Historia
Two thousand years ago, Mary Magdalene hid a set of scrolls in the French Pyrenees: the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, her version of the life of Jesus and the events of the New Testament. Protected by supernatural forces, these sacred scrolls could be uncovered only by a special seeker, one who fulfills the ancient prophecy of L'Attendu, the Expected One.

Very enlightening

I thought this book was extremely interesting--so refreshing to read a more plausible and more likely story of Jesus, as compared to the contradictory versions of his life as told in the Bible, which we know was edited and changed over the years by the male hierarchy of a very misogynistic church. I'd recommend it to any self respecting woman trying to get a better view of Jesus.

Historia
When Colton Burpo made it through an emergency appendectomy, his family was overjoyed at his miraculous survival. What they weren’t expecting, though, was the story that emerged in the months that followed—a story as beautiful as it was extraordinary, detailing their little boy’s trip to heaven and back.

Wish I would have read the reviews before getting this book. When the little boy declares that someone can't get into heaven unless they have Jesus in their heart, I know this boys experience is just the revelation of a consciousness created by his Christian pastor of a father. Having had several experiences of life after "death" I can testify to the fact that this is, as one reviewer said, just one of the many mansions, and one of the more limited ones at that, thus making this book rather boring and mundane. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is looking for the REAL Heaven!
