Great, but confusing

I just found Sadhguru on YouTube and wanted to know more about his teachings and philosophy. I have a feeling that if you’re not a Yogi (I think that’s his religious philosophy), than this will be confusing to you… because I’m confused, lol. So, I think this book is better if you have some background experience, but if you don’t, this will be a waste of a whole credit to you. Also, he does speak amazing English, but this isn’t a book, this is a talk, so he is not actually narrating and in conversation, thus it can be hard to understand his words at times. I was hoping he’d give me the “formula” of his philosophy and the “abc’s” so to speak, but I did not get that as a Westerner who is pretty new to all of this. I can see he has peace though, and I really would like my damn mind to shut up. But this book did get the wheels of my mind to start turning… I just didn’t get the part that we didn’t exist though, but “the dream was real”… I’m pretty sure I exist… I just bought the audiobook… Even though it’s actually not a book, it’s a talk. But whatever.

Great for mom's too!

I started going through the adult french course, but realized I didn't have any need to book a room or reserve a table in French in America and will not be going to France anytime soon, which is what the adult course focused on and other such things for the first three hours. Then I saw the kids french course and wondered if it'd be more applicable to me... it was! I'm a mom of three, and let me tell you, this is a kid's AND Mom's french course! You talk about wants, needs, family, and family applicable stuff. I'm into this course 2 hours worth and am having so much more fun, because I actually relate to what I'm learning and I can actual use it with my kids. I give this 10 stars!!!! So easy, makes so much sense, and no memorization of a long list of rules and exceptions. Just easy fun, with each chapter 5-10 minutes long!

Awesome

Gifted author with beautiful descriptive writing, yet quick paced and a "page turner". The words and descriptions she used helped me see things so clearly, yet not exhaustive so you loose interest. I found it resembled Twilight in its own way, and loved the nod of the head to Cinderella when the main character got ready for her first date with her soul mate (the date itself could have been entirely rewritten though and I felt like the author glossed over it). It was a sweet romance, but it's story was heavily focused on the mystery. If you like adventure, romance, wish Jacob got with Bella Swan *cough*, and like fantasy appearing in the "real world", then you'd probably like this book. I'm stopping at this one, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

So cool! I'm speaking Spanish! I did write it out as I went (against his recommendation), but I found it helped me a lot with being a visual learner. If you're a visual learner, I totally recommended writing out the sentences he wants you to translate (they can be long! -and the new words to see them), and be sure to pause a lot so you can figure out the sentences in your mind! This learning method is phenomenal ❤️

Not for the pure and sensitive.

This was a nightmare to listen to in our book club, so much so, that I left my book club. I just had so much anxiety reading it. I hated that it had a fictional story to begin with in each segment (if I'm going to be in literal pain, it surely isn't going to be over some fictional story and characters), and then comparing it with the Bible story after and what we learn from it. I don't even remember what I learned from the Adam and Eve section because I was cringing the whole time like you do going up a steep roller coaster slope before going over the edge (you know it always ends bad). This book is like a book of tragedies. It highlights how "delightful" it seemed for the sinner, and then their downfall. Let me just say, this will not uplift. It's proven that one negative and a positive make a negative. Psychologically, it takes five positives to over ride a negative message. Thus, I cannot recommend this book or give it anything above one star.

Amazing

I always wanted to learn French since I was a little girl, even before Kindergarten, but never did because I lost hope before I nearly began. This audio book is AMAZING! I never knew more than half of English is actually French, and this book gives you the tools to start transforming your vocabulary into French and even to start speaking in full complex sentences! I have never been so optimistic and am finally proceeding to fulfill my dreams with learning French!!! Thank you so much Michel Thomas <3 <3 <3
