This really was interesting and especially for people who suffer from arthritis and joint problems. It was very scientific but easily understood for a normal person. Some of the chemical terms were a little slow-going but it was still really interesting overall. I don't think this is a book I'd like to read, but the narrator made it easier to understand and added some life to it without talking down to you. It is really good information for anybody, but especially those with auto-immune diseases and compromised immune systems.

If you could sum up Cyber Crisis in three words, what would they be?

Frightening, pertinent, timely

What did you like best about this story?

It is a fascinating view into the inner workings of cyber crime and I learned so much! Some of it I already knew, but much was new and interesting to me. I really enjoyed learning the differences between the visible, dark, and deep web and was horrified to learn of some of the ways cyber criminals exploit us. My company was affected by the recent cyberattacks and listening to this audiobook could not have been more timely!

What does Pamela Almand bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator has intensity needed for this but still with a smooth voice that is reassuring and informative. It sounds like she knows what she is talking about and it really makes you listen.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It scared me to realize how vulnerable we all are.

A hard book to listen to but worth it

What made the experience of listening to Ruined the most enjoyable?

The redemption and faith of the author and her complete change of heart were a story that touched me

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ruined?

Obviously the rape scene was really powerful but not so horrible that I couldn't finish listening to the book and I'm glad I did. The narrator was able to describe the horror of it and give me shivers without going overboard with melodrama. And you could almost hear the personal growth that Ruth struggled with and her gaining confidence as she found anwsers to her questions. Good narration and a well-done audiobook.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, so many times I really felt like I was feeling the same things she was going through.
