Historia
The Galahad, a faster-than-light spacecraft, carries 50 scientists and engineers on a mission to prepare Kepler 452b, Earth's nearest habitable neighbor at 1400 light years away. With Earth no longer habitable and the Mars colony slowly failing, they are humanity's best hope. After 10 years in a failed cryogenic bed - body asleep, mind awake - William Chanokh's torture comes to an end as the fog clears, the hatch opens, and his friend and fellow hacker, Tom, greets him...by stabbing a screwdriver into his heart. This is the first time William dies.

What’s reality?
Revisado: 03-09-25
The book steals from a variety of prior Sci Fi stories weaving them together to form a unique story. My only complaint is that when the story was running stale the author utilized a continuous out. That was reality. It got a little stale .

Good start WW2 series.
Revisado: 03-02-25
It starts where most WW2 stories don’t in a country rarely thought about. But it was a good story. Seemingly accurate representation of the times.

Historia
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

Sci fi literotica
Revisado: 02-08-25
This book was and is a decent fantasy novel BUT- the author decided to make it a semi soft porn novel. My problem with this is that it doesn’t add to the story at all. These parts of the book were not paragraphs but whole chapters. Now my other issue with this book is that the main protagonist was supposed to be this hard assed street kid by ended up whining most of the book. Combined I just found the book lacking.

Historia
Richard Evans, author of the acclaimed The Third Reich Trilogy and over two dozen other volumes on modern Europe, is our preeminent scholar of Nazi Germany. Having spent half a century searching for the truths behind one of the most horrifying episodes in human history, in Hitler’s People, he brings us back to the original site of the Nazi movement: namely, the lives of its most important members. Working in concentric circles out from Hitler and his closest allies, Evans forms a typological framework of Germany society under Nazi rule from the top down.

Good overall review of the major players in the Nazi regime
Revisado: 09-03-24
First of all I perceived this book as a collection of separate essays on the Nazi players. Each chapter is not connected to any of the other chapters. It also doesn’t bring much new material into the background of these major Nazi members. Where I found the most interest was in the minor Nazis that were presented in the last few chapters. These chapters were not only well written but also added incite to the mind of more everyday people that were sucked into the Nazi culture. Worth the listen.

Overall a good WW2 spy story.
Revisado: 07-01-24
I liked the book but I thought the story got a little bit too outlandish at the end . Dare I say James Bondish. But overall it was worth the read.

Historia
The Pale Criminal brings back Bernie Gunther, an ex-policeman who thought he'd seen everything on the streets of 1930s Berlin - until he turned freelance, and each case he tackled sucked him further into the grisly excesses of Nazi subculture. Hard-hitting, fast-paced, and richly detailed, The Pale Criminal is noir writing at its blackest and best.

Historia
Two years ago, a hostile Prime Minister launched the Monochrome inquiry, investigating "historical over-reaching" by the British Secret Service “to investigate historical over-reaching.” Monochrome’s mission was to ferret out any hint of misconduct by any MI5 officer—and allowed Griselda Fleet and Malcolm Kyle, the two civil servants seconded to the project, unfettered access to any and all confidential information in the Service archives in order to do so. But MI5’s formidable First Desk did not become Britain’s top spy by accident, and she has successfully thwarted the inquiry at every turn.

I have never posted a review that criticized the reader but I feel that the reader was sooo bad I will not purchase another title from this author with the same reader. He was awful and totally distracted from the book.

WW2 spy story
Revisado: 05-11-24
I thought that the author properly described what life was like pre war in Nazi Germany. And built a story around that miserable experience.
