Historia
Most pastors pray for a healthy and vibrant church, but many find themselves frustrated because they lack direction and feel as though they are spinning their wheels. They struggle to correct unhealthy patterns or do not have fresh vision for their ministry. John K. Jenkins can relate. The first church he attended is best described as a shack with a bell and a steeple. When he accepted his first senior pastoral role, he ministered to 35 people on a good Sunday. Today, Pastor Jenkins welcomes more than 11,000 worshipers to Sunday services, and thousands more participate virtually.

Life, ministry, community building
Revisado: 01-20-25
The reader spoke clearly and at an excellent pace. I found the content of this book interesting, informative and insightful. So often the leader’s true purpose and approach gets watered down and contaminated by the time it reaches the everyday member. To hear directly from the horse’s mouth about the behind the scenes workings is very valuable to anyone wanting to implement any aspect of the work. I also became aware of bits and pieces of the organization in small bites. Visiting websites and watching banners of information on screens can sometimes be overwhelming.
It is my habit to read the book as I listen. This helps me to remember the content by using multiple senses. It also allows me to pause my reading and underline information that speaks to me in the moment. Listening allows me to read faster because I am not having to figure out every word.

Historia
According to the Pew Research Center, approximately 37 percent of Americans identify themselves as spiritual but not religious. How to Be Spiritual Without Being Religious is a book for that sizable number of folks who seek a rich and authentic interior life but find formal religious affiliation unappealing. It is a clear and nondogmatic guide for finding one's own path of transformation, for embracing a vision of a "practical faith" that enhances a life of happiness and peace.

Historia
Think of The War of Art as tough love...for yourself. Since 2002, The War of Art has inspired people around the world to defeat "resistance"; to recognize and knock down dream-blocking barriers and to silence the naysayers within us. Resistance kicks everyone's butt, and the desire to defeat it is equally as universal. The War of Art identifies the enemy that every one of us must face, outlines a battle plan to conquer this internal foe, then pinpoints just how to achieve the greatest success.

Let your artist out

I have experienced this work in its entirety multiple times and recommended it to others. It has aided me greatly during times of transition. With its guidance I have sung great songs, improved my fitness in support of my art, managed our financial life to greater wealth, seen my mate through God’s eyes, and witnessed the joy of our daughters discovering their place in the universe free of my fears and ego.
