I went to read book two moments after finishing this one. For me, this world rivals Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere. This is a masterpiece of the genre. I have no complaints and can say nothing but praises. However, the other review praising thise story have already said it better than I could.

Enjoyable suspence

I liked how different this waa from any story I've evee experienced. The children actually remind me of myself growing up. I didn't like not knowing anything of what happened to the villain once he was kicked. I suppose that is the point, to leave it to the imagination.

Historia
Far upstate, in New York’s ancient forests, a drowned village lays beneath the dark, still waters of the Chilewaukee reservoir. Early in the 20th century, the town was destroyed for the greater good: Bringing water to the millions living downstate. Or at least that’s what the politicians from Manhattan insisted at the time. The local families, settled there since America’s founding, were forced from their land, but they didn’t move far, and some didn’t move at all... Now, a century later, the repercussions of human arrogance are finally making themselves known.

Historia
For us to perceive any of the worlds that exist beside our own, not only do we have to covet them but we need to have sufficient energy to seize them. In this revolutionary book, Carlos Castaneda offers listeners the key to this energetic conditioning for the first time, revealing a series of body positions and physical movements that enabled various sorcerers to navigate their own sorceric journeys. By sharing this wisdom, Carlos Castaneda makes it possible for listeners to travel to some of these other realms, which are as real, unique, absolute, and engulfing as our own world.

Dissapointed
Revisado: 06-29-23
I'm disappointed with this one and the wheel of time. In fact I lost the story thread of the story a few books back when he was trying to remember certain teachings.
On a whole this series is a good story. But, it would have been better if he had stuck with his story instead of trying to start a new, well, almost a new cult.
This is a story of fiction.
Sure, people can use some gems in their life if they feel it will help them.
But, it was better as a story that is full of wonder and even a source of inspiration to see the mysterious, curious, and magical realm in which we live.

Wow! What a disappointment
Revisado: 04-03-23
I started with episode 3 first for a reason. You didn't even say the words auto immune disorder. instead, you say it's caused by shame? I was a healthy, happy 13 year old girl when my symptoms hit me in a life changing way. After decades of being misdiagnosed and basically told it was alll in my head I finally found a Dr who diagnosed me after it was obvious. That was the first time I had ever heard the words ankylosing spondylitis. She explained the damage that was done and why. From that day I've been educating myself. I already spent years on the meditation, and the "You can Heal Your Life" through positive thinking etc.. I still have a hunch back. I'm done with blaming this illness on how I think. Your message may be well meaning but it actually adds insult to injury. of course positive thinking and a healthy lifestyle will help any illness and pain but you, here, have gone too far. You ignore the reality of what AS is that many people are struggling with and you offer a fantasy that many before you have sold in countless self help books and, yes, made bank off of other's pain and suffering. I'm sure your success and your bank account helps you with your stress levels and good eating. I expected some of what you gave here. i didn't expect the wholesale "shameless" message of blame the sick person's thoughts and their shame for the AS they will live with for the restof their life. Really, I have to wonder how much of a narcissist you have to be to be ok with yourself right now.

I'm taken to another reality. i come back to my reality with more curiosity and I'm reminded of all the possibilities for the future and what could have transpired in the past on earth and off. it may not be your cup of tea and that's ok I can respect that. So, if you want to disrespect this author or be snarky about his work, it says more about you than him.

Horror with Heart
Revisado: 01-21-23
I'm impressed with this reader, no complaints. This is one those stories I reread ,or in this case listen to, about about every 4 to 5 years. After all these years, I was surprised that I still got spooked a few times.
The depth of his characters personalities, their voice and perceptions shines through to the point where I want to meet them, except the scary characters. For those, I wouldn't want anyone or thing like them to even be aware of my existence.
Lastly, for a horror story, Mr. King expertly describes the human condition in full.
I just wish I had a smidgen of his writing skils so I could write a better review for this book.
