Sapiens showed us where we came from. Homo Deus looked to the future. 21 Lessons for the 21st Century explores the present. How can we protect ourselves from nuclear war, ecological cataclysms and technological disruptions? What can we do about the epidemic of fake news or the threat of terrorism? What should we teach our children? Yuval Noah Harari takes us on a thrilling journey through today’s most urgent issues.

The Trilogy Is Complete
Revisado: 11-27-18
After Sapiens and Homo Deus, this third from their brilliant author Yuval Noah Harari appears to complete his messages to the world. Diligence in researching, deep understanding of ideas and drawing sensible conclusions is Harari's forte. His humility lies in not attempting to answer each and every point raised and leaving it to the readers to draw their own conclusions is strong point of this man. The final chapter on his personal experiences with Vipasana is very much necessary to give a great closure to what according to me is one of the most brilliant trilogy of modern times. The only places where he swaggered was when the same points got repeatedly repeated. Absolutely loved it but won't read a fourth one of the same genre from the same author.

The Profound Depths of The Upanishads
Revisado: 08-30-18
It is not easy to simplify Upanishads. Eknath has done it. Without losing its essence, he has conveyed his commentary on these eternal scriptures lucidly, accurately and lovingly. When I began this audiobook, I was very curious as to how it will go. Ekanath Easwaran guides it on track and in the right direction. I enjoyed and evolved from my experience of this book.

A Murder Near Classic
Revisado: 08-07-18
Fine performances and a fast paced drama is the hallmark of this so well-known near classic. Too much complexity is difficult for any audio book listener to handle. It puts him at an obvious disadvantage. This is the drawback of this what could have easily be proclaimed as a classic - the medium has beaten it.

Sensationaism Well Presented
Revisado: 07-14-18
Loved the sensationalism. Good fiction. The authors capitalize on the current day threat of cyber attacks and convert it into a thrilling story. I won't be surprised if a Hollywood movie is created from this. But after all fiction is a fiction with no messages to take. The performance is absolutely superb.

Historia
When Autobiography of a Yogi first appeared in 1946, it was acclaimed as a landmark work in its field. The New York Times hailed it as "a rare account". Newsweek pronounced it "fascinating". The San Francisco Chronicle declared, "Yogananda presents a convincing case for yoga, and those who 'came to scoff' may remain 'to pray." Today it is still one of the most widely read and respected books ever published on the wisdom of the East.

World Divinity From India
Revisado: 07-07-18
Swami Yogananda Paramhamsa was a liberated soul who visited this world to guide others - lesser mortals to that liberated state. Narrated wonderfully by Ben Kingsley, every word emanating from these pages are a source of powerful beacon of guidance to this world. I wanted to read this book for years, but it was only when the book selected me, in the fifth decade of life that my dream came true. I feel blessed as the book ends but the spiritual journey continues

Average Spicy Story
Revisado: 06-14-18
It's a gripping story amazingly narrated. However, the end seems contrived and doesn't fit in the canvas of the entire book. All in all I found it to be an average book with a spicy story line stitching in twists and turns

Average book. Nothing so attractive except the narration and sound management. Open ended books are always at a disadvantage. This book isn't able to conquer this challenge.

Historia
Karma Yoga (the yoga of action) is a book of lectures by Swami Vivekananda, as transcribed by Joseph Josiah Goodwin. It was published in February 1896 in New York City. Swami Vivekananda delivered a number of lectures in his rented rooms at 228 W 39th Street in New York City from December 1895 to January 1896. In 1895, friends and supporters of Swami Vivekananda hired Goodwin, a professional stenographer, who transcribed some of the lectures which were later published as this book. Goodwin later became a follower of Vivekananda.
