I found this podcast and fell in love with these three “Constant Readers.” They examine our favorite Author’s works in a thoughtful yet fun way that makes me feel like I’m reading the books again with a new eye. I have been binge-listening and am not looking forward to catching up to the current episodes because I will have fewer to listen to. Five out of five blue chambray shirts.

A good second in series book

I enjoyed this adventure and especially enjoy the relationship between Al and Buck. This had a nice appearance from the Iron Druid, Oberon and Starbuck which scratches the itch to know what happened to them after their series ended

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

King is still the master

The storytelling is, as always with King, superb. I loved how it started as one story but then pivoted in a wonderful, weird way. I also loved hearing Mr. King do one of the characters.
