Historia
Cal Kestis has built a new life for himself with the crew of the Stinger Mantis. Together, Cal’s crew has brought down bounty hunters, defeated Inquisitors, and even evaded Darth Vader himself. More important, Merrin, Cere, Greez, and faithful droid BD-1 are the closest thing Cal has had to a family since the fall of the Jedi Order. Even as the galaxy’s future grows more uncertain by the day, with each blow struck against the Empire the Mantis crew grows more daring.

Underwhelming Story
Revisado: 11-14-24
The plot can be interesting at times however the development of relationships between characters does not feel real. Individual characters has good moments but they do not always interact in ways that would make sense in the amount of time it all takes place. There overall is a forced and artificial structure to the story. Many times while reading it I asked myself if this was really a Star Wars book and if it was even worth reading. It is far from the quality books being written today.

A true thrill
Revisado: 03-06-24
I have read a lot of books over the years and many on audio. I think this has to be one of the most exciting books I’ve ever listened to. So many times I found myself pumped up and jittery from the intense scenes of action portrayed in this book.

Great stories carrying the rest
Revisado: 10-31-23
There are some top notch stories and acting in this one. Though I felt at times that there were to many stories which were of such a generic feel that in the middle of the book I became bored of the constant flashbacks for characters had no impact on the story. I have read most of the new and old books so I can say I felt the authors did good credit to the EU but there is a bloat to the number of stories and some should not have been included.

Historia
At 22, Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost everything. In the wake of her mother's death, her family scattered and her own marriage was soon destroyed. Four years later, with nothing more to lose, she made the most impulsive decision of her life: to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State - and to do it alone. She had no experience as a long-distance hiker, and the trail was little more than “an idea, vague and outlandish and full of promise.” But it was a promise of piecing back together a life that had come undone.

Historia
Goodwin describes the broken friendship between Teddy Roosevelt and his chosen successor, William Howard Taft. With the help of the "muckraking" press, Roosevelt had wielded the Bully Pulpit to challenge and triumph over abusive monopolies, political bosses, and corrupting money brokers. Roosevelt led a revolution that he bequeathed to Taft only to see it compromised as Taft surrendered to money men and big business. The rupture led Roosevelt to run against Taft for president, an ultimately futile race that gave power away to the Democrats.

I almost didn't pick up this book. I am glad I did though, it spoke so we'll about a period of American history that truly was a monumental moment of change. I think anyone who loves American history and the time to listen should.

Historia
In 1915, when German forces executed the first successful gas attack of World War I, the world watched in horror as the boundaries of warfare were forever changed. Cries of barbarianism rang throughout Europe, yet Allied nations immediately jumped into the fray, kickstarting an arms race that would redefine a war already steeped in unimaginable horror. Largely forgotten in the confines of history, the development of the US Chemical Warfare Service in 1917 left an indelible imprint on World War I.
