Historia
With the support of former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta, investigative reporter Leslie Kean draws on her research to separate fact from fiction and to lift the veil on decades of U.S. government misinformation. Throughout, she presents irrefutable evidence that unknown flying objects - metallic, luminous, and seemingly able to maneuver in ways that defy the laws of physics - actually exist.

One of the Best Books on UFOs That Is Out There
- De Nils J. Rasmussen en 08-19-14
Totally disregardable.
Revisado: 03-24-25
This book came well recommended, and I was looking forward to an earnest counterpoint to the a priori nonexistence of alien visitation. Unfortunately this is actually one of the most credulous and completely non-serious arguments I’ve ever heard. It’s wrapped up in arguments from authority and begging the question. I don’t blame the individual case reporters, though many of them exhibit an astounding lack of humility. Off but the author herself does an absolutely terrible job of coming up with any credible piece of objective or even subjective evidence. Undoubtedly humans have been perceiving things for millennia that they can’t completely identify; on a daily basis in fact. But without a single compelling argument, her lack of an argument seems to boil down to: we have no idea what this is, so we absolutely know exactly what this is. The Voice talent does a good job, but messes up a number of military terms and concepts, and pronounces “authority“ unusually!

Flawed, but worth listening to.
Revisado: 01-08-25
Overall, this is an excellent and eye-opening book. He takes some liberties with some of his pet ideas where he gets seduced by conspiracy and sort of abandons his commitment to the scientific methods, but overall a very well-researched book with some maddening history.

Historia
This book explores the evolutionary roots of loving our team and hating the enemy team, and why groupish caveman instincts linger in our minds today. It answers: If tribalism is hardwired into us, what changed in the last twenty years? How did partisanship get so loud, toxic, and obnoxious, and ruin last Thanksgiving? Finally, it says what we can do about it as individuals navigating relationships, and as society as a whole.

Historia
If there is one belief that has united the left and the right, psychologists and philosophers, ancient thinkers and modern ones, it is the tacit assumption that humans are bad. It's a notion that drives newspaper headlines and guides the laws that shape our lives. From Machiavelli to Hobbes, Freud to Pinker, the roots of this belief have sunk deep into Western thought. Human beings, we're taught, are by nature selfish and governed primarily by self-interest.

He does a great job of presenting the reality of the world around us, and uncovers the incentives of the people and groups who benefit from us seeing otherwise. And also points out that many of the famous researchers that caused us to see each other as monsters are, ironically, the real monsters.

Achieve more with less effort: The secret to weight loss, fitness, and wellness lies in the most basic and most overlooked function of your body - how you breathe. One of the biggest obstacles to better health and fitness is a rarely identified problem: chronic overbreathing. We often take many more breaths than we need without realizing it, contributing to poor health and fitness, including a host of disorders, from anxiety and asthma to insomnia and heart problems.
