Historia
Meet Miranda. She's a dominatrix. She has a flatmate, friends and neighbours who have no idea what she gets up to behind closed doors. And did we mention an assortment of slightly off kilter clients? In this opening episode, we hear her try (and fail) to sort out a marketing strategy for a range of painfully absurd and always hilarious bedroom services.

Like being in a room with your friends
Revisado: 03-09-22
I loved the way the stories were told. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting but I'm glad I stuck around! It was funny and didn't try to hard, just like sitting around swapping stories with your friends. Please have a season 2!!!

Historia
The Waverleys have always been a curious family, endowed with peculiar gifts that make them outsiders even in their hometown of Bascom, North Carolina. Even their garden has a reputation, famous for its feisty apple tree that bears prophetic fruit, and its edible flowers, imbued with special powers.
Generations of Waverleys tended this garden. Their history was in the soil. But so were their futures.
Together again in the house they grew up in, the Waverley sisters realize they must deal with their common legacy - if they are ever to feel at home in Bascom - or with each other.

Amazing Story!
Revisado: 09-28-20
Honestly when I started listening I didn't think I could get into it. I feel the performance was a little....like a 2nd grade teacher reading a book. In a way that is good because she was sweet and interested... but left me feeling patronized. Overall, I'm glad I stuck with it. I also bought a hard copy because I'm now so in love with this book.

The story is unforgettable and beautifully written by the performance of Linda Stephens is unparalleled. She gives each character their own and sometimes you forget it is only one narrator.

Most people want to avoid thinking about death, but Caitlin Doughty - a 20-something with a degree in medieval history and a flair for the macabre - took a job at a crematory, turning morbid curiosity into her life’s work. With an original voice that combines fearless curiosity and mordant wit, Caitlin tells an unusual coming-of-age story full of bizarre encounters, gallows humor, and vivid characters (both living and very dead).

I am a fan of the author and this helped me shape what I plan to do with my career. She doesn't pull any punches- will be buying a copy to keep.
