Historia
The father of three sons, a journalist, and a Brookings Institution scholar, Richard V. Reeves has spent twenty-five years worrying about boys both at home and work. His new book, Of Boys and Men, tackles the complex and urgent crisis of boyhood and manhood. Reeves looks at the structural challenges that face boys and men and offers fresh and innovative solutions that turn the page on the corrosive narrative that plagues this issue. Of Boys and Men argues that helping the other half of society does not mean giving up on the ideal of gender equality.

Inaccurate Conclusions
Revisado: 11-15-23
Although this writer gives a lot of statistics I think his conclusions to these statistics are inaccurate. The assumptions made in this book why men are struggling and why women are succeeding lack substantial evidence.
Both men and women are struggling in society, And both men and women need support. It is men who have more jobs in the United States. The top ten richest people in the United States are men. The top ten richest in the World are also men. Of the billionaires in the United States only 12% are women. And more men than women are self made billionaires.
Self made billionaires! That's an incredible statistic in favor of men, and showing their tenacity and obvious competence!
More and more jobs are projected to not need a college degree to obtain, so I don't see that declining graduation from men is a bad sign, but rather changing times.
If as a people we work together, and work to support one another and not worry about if the pie is divided in half perfectly then we may stop reacting with a scarcity mentality. We may give to one another freely and support one another with greater care and concern.

Historia
Though these two men grew up in close proximity to each other, they didn’t meet until Brigham was in his 30s. Their first meeting, which involved speaking in tongues and led to Joseph prophesying that one day Brigham would “preside over this Church,” proved to be a harbinger of their future relationship. But these two giants of the Restoration, indeed of the American West, didn’t always see eye to eye, though their friendship never faltered.

Extremely Helpful Book!
Revisado: 01-04-23
I love this book! James puts words to some of what I already have discovered for myself, but hadn't come to a place of even thinking about explaining my process or system. He helped to connect the dots for me. I understand myself better now, and I'm looking forward to implementing the other ideas he gives in his book. This book is amazing! I'm so grateful James took the time to write it out! He is an excellent writer!
