Bit too detailed on names, so that main characters become confused. Difficult therefore to keep up with whose brother was whose.

Historia
Young playwright Melina Green has just written a new work inspired by the life of her Elizabethan ancestor Emilia Bassano. But seeing it performed is unlikely, in a theater world where the playing field isn’t level for women. As Melina wonders if she dares risk failure again, her best friend takes the decision out of her hands and submits the play to a festival under a male pseudonym.

Historical Detail and Clarity
Revisado: 01-02-25
I liked the credible and insightful research into the most likely source of Shakespeare’s plays. Didn’t care for the preachy Woke tone of the modern day parallel. Ironically, this well written novel does more to discredit identity politics than it does to advance progressive DEI. I don’t think that was the authors intention. However, all’s well that ends well….great job Jodi!

As a child, I loved the board game “CLUE”. This was a fun one, with lots of players, only this time, I didn’t have my own cards to work from. This story is great thriller, right til the last “card” is revealed…

Historia
It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Tedious and not suspenseful
Revisado: 08-08-24
Too many names, details, without development of character. Heroine was not likable, strident, and there was never any real suspense or fear for her. Needless details without relatable characters.

True Art of Persuasion
Revisado: 03-21-24
I loved the voicing of the story as well as the writing. Coincidentally, I graduated from law school in August of 85, the very month of this murder. I never had a desire to practice criminal law, primarily because of the nefarious nature of the players involved on both sides. I did litigate civil cases before juries and was tutored by masters of courtroom prowess. After 40 plus years of studying evidence and the stories that juries hear from opposing sides, and the feedback they give you post verdict I have developed a professional motto: The true art of persuasion is convincing a juror of what they already believe in the first place. Well done, and should be required assignment for law students. Congratulations on living through. and telling this tale.

Vocal acting- excellent work. Each character distinct, although same actor.
Revisado: 03-02-24
Some personalities too overdrawn, not nuanced enough. For instance, ex fiancé too able to interfere in strong relationship. Narcissist boyfriend didn’t have enough to explain why a well grounded daughter would stay with him. Accomplished actresses don’t rely on hand sewing to save careers. Far fetched in areas.
