Historia
The Frosts are a typical American family. Barb and John, married almost 50 years, are testy and bored with each other...who could blame them after all this time? At least they have their daughters - Barb's favorite, the perfect, brilliant Juliet; and John's darling, the free-spirited Sadie. The girls themselves couldn't be more different, but at least they got along, more or less. It was fine. It was enough. Until the day John had a stroke, and their house of cards came tumbling down. Now Sadie has to put her career as a teacher and struggling artist in New York on hold....

anyone caught those easter eggs???
Revisado: 03-23-23
so i thought it was neat how the author has past characters from other stories nicely sprinkled in throughout the story not very obvious unless you really paid attention and if course read her other books mainly "life's inconveniences". I do have to be honest all her books are starting to sound very similar in plot and character's thoughts and story line, its easy to see how if you read one of her books you pretty much read them all. there hasn't been any difference in content author should shake things up a lot more to keep readers coming back.

Historia
The correspondence between Carrie Allsop and David Mayer reveals, piece by piece, the painful details of a devastating affair between their spouses. With each commiserating scratch of the pen, they confess their fears and bare their souls. They share the bewilderment over how things went so wrong and come to wonder where to go from here. Told entirely through the letters of two comforting strangers and those of two illicit lovers, Evidence of the Affair explores the complex nature of the heart. And ultimately, for one woman, how liberating it can be when it’s broken.

kind of annoying
Revisado: 03-29-22
so don't get me wrong the story was good I even enjoyed the ending ( I was not expecting how it ended which made this story even better!) the downside was it was read. exactly in letter format so every 15 mins it said they city and date it got pretty annoying other than that its was a good read!

I LOVED this book! this is the first book I've listened to that actually had me laughing out loud! when they are out to eat with the parents and her husband said "because she pregnant" and her dad says "because of her alcoholism!" it was so funny I woke my husband up from laughing so hard! 😂 but overall I related to this book so much. Her relationship with her husband and their intimate relationship was something that resonated with me and I wish they could have elaborated more on that and did more therapy sessions I felt that they left that to prematurely and ended the book with an open-end was not happy with that I needed to know if they fix it how they fixed it what happened next would have been nice to have a one year later ending or a sequel all in all this book was something that most people can relate to and did a very good job connecting with the audience talkin about a topic that most people have a hard time with so the humor helped lighten the subject but also showed the seriousness in the addiction disease and the many struggles that we go through being addicts.

Historia
Safely away from the chaos of Manhattan, St. Thomas, a small college on the banks of the Hudson River, is supposed to be tranquil, bucolic, and serene. Unfortunately, English professor Alison Bergeron has found it to be anything but. Recently divorced and even more recently without a car - it was stolen - she has been hoofing it to school. One Friday evening, two homicide detectives drop by her office. The good news is that they found her beat-up Volvo; the bad news is that the body of one of her students was in the trunk.
