What did you love best about The Aviator's Wife?

I loved the narration and the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Well definitely the protagonist. I think her character and temperament were amazing.

Have you listened to any of Lorna Raver’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I havent. But she was really very good.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The admirable wife.

This audiobook is worth every dime. It's read beautifully and the story is great. I would definitely recommend it.

I love reading Maeve Binchy. This one is her last but not her best. Though the reader does a good job.

This was my first audiobook of the author.

Yes the narrator did a good job.

Did A Week in Winter inspire you to do anything?

I like the author very much but this book didn't inspire me.

I liked the simplicity and could absolutely empathise with protagonist.

No I haven't so far. But she is good.

Well I liked the book in its entirety.

Very good read

I loved the tranquility and the absence of drama.

What about Hannah Gordon’s performance did you like?

Hannah Gordon was truly amazing. She kept the mood of the story throughout. Excellent performance.

Beautiful ruins is a beautiful read.

Where does Beautiful Ruins rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It certainly ranks in the first 10 so far.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the setting. I loved the characters and it was certainly well read by Edoardo Ballerini.

What does Edoardo Ballerini bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Well the voice was soothing and kept me going just wanting to come back to the audiobook again and again.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book was poignant in places. The characters were almost real. It made me sad in parts but I liked the end very much.

This book is a good read. I didn't regret buying it at all. It was well written and well read.

I wouldn't compare it to any book. But it was a lovely experience just to listen.

No I haven't.

If you could rename The Paris Wife, what would you call it?

The Good Wife or Broken Bliss.

Any additional comments?

Really enjoyed listening to the book and sympathised with the wife. Was sorry that it was a sad ending. But the wife did try her best to cope with moods and flings of Hemingway as best as she could.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Help?

There were lots of moments. Especially when something indelible was added to a dish!

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Mini by Octavia spencer . The narrator of Aibileen was soothing.

Who was the most memorable character of The Help and why?

Mini was my favourite. She was spunky and bold.

Any additional comments?

Beautifully performed. Lots of layers. Could feel the tension while just listening in bed.
