What disappointed you about Desert Heat?
* SPOILERS*. It took forever for the story to pick up. The male and female lead kinda had the personalities of a cactus. The only real emotion that was showed from either of them was a lot of jealousy. Even the love scenes were unremarkable and bland. I mean you can write the most toe curling encounters and all you want to write about is him constantly sticking his finger in her mouth? First time yeah kinda hot 3rd and 4th just go wash your hand dammit! It was annoying how much trouble the female lead got herself into when really the problems she had wasn't that big of a deal. I didn't like how he just accepted her lying behind back no problem. I know love is consuming but at least let her sweat it out. Overall the story was just disappointing. As expensive as these audiobooks are authors should really only record the favorites. From what I hear this author has another series that people love much more.
What was most disappointing about Elizabeth Reyes’s story?
*SPOILER* It was such a big build up to what her big secret that she was hiding was it a killer? The Russian mob? Crazy psycho stalker?....No it was INS! Wait! What?! Come on really? That was a MAJOR bummer. She ran and lied about that? So then after her lying about everything but the weather he pretty much just takes her back taking no time to think about all the pointless lying she had done. They tried to make her come off in the beginning like she was very wise and intelligent but she could have gotten herself out of all this "trouble" rather easily.
What three words best describe Shayna Thibodeaux and Sebastian York ’s performance?
Did the best they could with a lackluster story.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The narrators were not horrible. Shayna did have a little trouble with timing but I have heard worst. Sebastian York I have heard before and I really enjoy him so he worked with what he got which wasn't much.
