Fantastic Narration

I love duet narration. It really brings the story alive. This book really kept my attention. The overall story line was a little far fetched but I still enjoyed the book. The male narration was perfection 🥰 The spicy scenes were hotttttt!!! Definitely need a cold shower at times to cool off!

Just meh for me....

Plot was not very good and the characters were not believable. I was not a fan of the H or h. We're supposed to believe Zoey is this tough, self-sufficient coroner taking care of her brother...yet she let's the people in town ridicule and mistreat her. And Blake is not a swoon-worthy male lead. Nothing about his character makes me want to go gaga over him. But when it's all said and done, I guess they work as a couple. I don't recommend this book though. I definitely could have done without reading it. I only finished it because I hate quitting a book mid-way through.

I am not sure if it was the narration or the storyline but I couldn't finish this trilogy. The 1st book's storyline was decent but the narration really made it hard to enjoy. The 2nd book is where I gave up. The heroine in the story is not likable. Maybe this is because of the way the heroine in the 1st book described her sister. I started book 2 already disliking the heroine of the story. Around midway through book 2 I gave up. Maybe if there was a different narrator or I could physically read this book but as it stands it's a no for me. Wish I could get my credit back.
