Historia
The prophecies begin to be fulfilled. The Earthsoul weakens, and the demon god Maeon presses his realm ever closer to the world of men. The Veil separating life from death has thinned, and many evil spirits have been refleshed back into existence. Led by the Dreadlord Throy Shadan, these refleshed beings have rallied their forces for one final march against the Nine Lands.

Great to revisit
Revisado: 03-02-25
I read the physical copy of The Veil of Darkness the first year it came out. I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting the Earthsoul Prophesy series again. It was a little refreshing to have a narrator who didn’t voice act each character’s voice. (Even though I really enjoy many narrators who do)
One critique I would give is one word in particular is used so much throughout the book and the narrator pronounces it wrong! (I believe this might just be a me thing so don’t let it distract you) Foliage should be pronounced /fō-lē-age/ not /f-oi-lage/. Other than that little nitpick, Mr. Humpherys does a great job. I listened at 1.5 speed and he was clear and easy to understand.

Journey before destination
Revisado: 01-18-25
In true Sanderson fashion. This is a gripping story with an explosive ending! It is rare that I become so invested in a series!

All Time Favorite
Revisado: 01-24-23
This series is my all time favorite. I read the physical copies many times over and when I found the audio books I fell in love with Allan Corduner’s narration. I know many people turned to audiobooks because of Jim Dale, but Allan was my gateway narrator and now I’m hooked!

Historia
This explosive new audiobook challenges many of the long-held assumptions about blacks, about Jews, about Germans and Nazis, about slavery, and about education. Plainly written, powerfully reasoned, and backed with a startling array of documented facts, Black Rednecks and White Liberals takes on the trendy intellectuals of our times as well as historic interpreters of American life.

A well read piece
Revisado: 12-21-22
While I did and do enjoy this narration, I must admit that I have not done any research myself. I enjoyed this perspective and the honesty in the takeaways. I will likely read more from Thomas Sowell, but I am trying to approach his and other nonfiction titles with a healthy dose of responsible skepticism. Taking in the information presented with an open mind, but doing side research from VALID SOURCES to help make sense of the information.
