Surprisingly good for such a short story

I don't typically like books that are this short, they usually feel rushed. My only complaint with this one is that I wish is were longer lol but besides that I would totally recommend it!

Beware! This is only book 1!

When I purchased this book there was no indication that it was part of a series (now it says 'book 1' 🤔) ... I would have waited for the rest of the books to come out before starting book 1 lol... but like half way thru the book, it felt like everything was dragggggging out way longer than necessary and that's when it clicked that this must be book 1 of a series. Overall I do really like the book, it has kept my attention and the narrators do an incredible job of bringing the story to life! I'll be not so patiently waiting for the next one lol

I usually listen to 5+ books a week (I get to listen to books while I work lol) and my audible account has a few thousand books in my library. That being said, I rarely leave reviews... but this book definitely deserves a review! The story line was unique and refreshing, it totally kept my attention the entire time! But the true gem of this book are the narrators! They did a 10/10 fantastic job. Like seriously one of the best duet narration books I've ever listen to. Holden could narrate the phone book and have me enthralled lol he is amazing! And the female narrator was just as amazing. They both did such a good job with the different dialects and accents. It truly was an acceptional audiobook!

OTT the way we all love it ❤️

Short, sweet and wayyy over the top lol but it is exactly what we all look for when we read/listen to OTT. I love how OTT always finds a way to make insta love seem plausible haha. Our hero, Tyler is obviously intense and way over the top, but I love love love it and Carrie is easy going and level headed. 80% of book heroines are painfully annoying, whiny or just plain dumb. But OTT always writes likable male and female characters. My one and only complaint is that I wish it was a bit longer, but just because they are short, that doesnt make them any less fun and enjoyable! Keep them coming Olivia, I am patiently waiting for the next one!

I absolutely loved this book! I typically listen to a book a day and I rarely find the urge to leave a review (positive or negative) but I truly loved this book and needed everyone to know lol ! I've been in a book slump and took a chance on a new (to me) author and I am do glad I did! The story flowed beautifully, I didn't feel like it was dragging on or unnecessarily wordy. The heroine was strong, smart and sassy. She didn't make ridiculous decisions or cause unnecessary drama, she stood up for herself and stayed remarkably calm throughout the book lol I would have loved for the book to have had an epilog or something, to give us a little more of that happily ever after they worked so hard for... but hopefully that means we will be getting book #2 sooner than later, and we can hear more about Anna and Alariks new life together! The narrators were on point of course, Shane and Keira are always amazing performers!

So incredibly immature

I have liked all of the other books in this series, but this Heroin is just pathetic. I just can't stand her, I'm quitting at like %75. She is literally the most immature, whiny and self centered person in the galaxy lol she has supposedly had this awful childhood and has survived all this hardship in her life and yet she has no backbone and cannot stand up for herself in even the smallest ways. She is so meek and childlike in so many ways, and yet what it come to her alien "guardian" she is all the sudden this pushy temptress. She is confusing and probably my least favorite heroin of all time lol I literally cringed thru most of her chapters and then got to the point where I just skipped her parts all together. She is an embarrassment to all curvy girls out there. Her behavior is just over the top dumb.

Boring

I spent the entire 14 hours of this book waiting for something to happen. Instead it was chapter after chapter of an immature, overly whiny and annoying heroin and a mafia boss that I feel like I barely know anything about after all these hours. I still have 20 min left of the book and I can't remember what her name is 🤣 that's how freaking boring she is. He just repeatedly calls her 'my gattina' (kitten), like ALOT, he says it like 39xs a chapter 🙄 There were quite a few sex scenes but unfortunately they were repetitive and lacked originallity and steam, alot of the same descriptions, it felt very stale. I was super excited about this book and paid full price for it because I had really enjoyed Layla Frosts other books available on audible but this one was not even near the same caliber. I skipped threw so many chapters towards the end that were dragging on and then when I started the new chapter, I hadnt missed out on anything lol it was just full of so much useless filler. Monolog after monolog about her pointless "dreams" and how bored and tired she was, none of it matters or contributed to the story. Any why did she get pneumonia and spend a week in the hospital? That whole fiasco took up multiple chapters and it was soooooooooooo boring. The few ''curvballs" were super predictable and not even well done, they were just thrown in there to add more words. I listen to an audio book every single day at work and I rarely feel the need to review them, especially in the negative. But this one was just such a disappointment and I feel like I need to warn the public, this is supposed to be a insta love/mafia/stalker romance but it completely falls short on ALL of those. The insta love/stalkerish stuff is tepid at best and the mafia connection it super unrealistic and clearly not well researched. The narration was pretty good 8/10, but even the decent narration didn't make this book salvageable. Don't waist your time or money. At least wait until it's on sale lol

Don't even hesitate, press buy!! I loved this book!! I listen to 5-7 books a week and rarely leave a review but this book deserves all the stars !! Narration was perfect and the story kept me captivated 100% of the time!! My only complaint is that the book is over 😪

Best Lili Valente book yet!!

I pretty much love all of Lili Valentes books, but this one is something extra special. It had just the right amount of suspense and drama without being played out or over done. And as always Jason Clarke was absolutely phenomenal, that man could read the phone book and keep my attention LOL Lili's narration is always spot-on, I think she brings a little something extra to all of her books that she narrates. Their love story were sweet and simple and held my attention the entire time. I really like the fact that she kicked right into their love story, there wasn't five or six chapters of fluff before we got to the good stuff lol Give us more Lili give us more
