I didn't care for the lack of progression of the star wars main storyline, basically just fluff that didn't help move the discussion along about what happened after episode 6. the group in the story seemed to be formulated and cookie cutter. There was a slight tone towards a younger tween age group with some of the discussions that I didn't care for as an adult but don't mind as I know others are younger. but then they introduce alcohol shots in detail and same sex relationships that for some would be considered pg13 or R rated.

Would you consider the audio edition of Star Wars: Lost Stars to be better than the print version?

Yes! The audio version brings so much to experience for me. Also keeps me engaged and I don't day dream.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The couple were outstanding, the love story, the feelings about the Empire and how they changed through the decades.

I'm not sure that I have but I loved this one.

Cry a few times.

I really was surprised at how good the story was, even though it started out like a kids book after the first quarter of the book it really took off.

Difficult to distinguish between several young female characters.

*****************(SPOILER)+++++++++++++++The undertones of lesbianism detracted from experience. Also seemed rushed and out of place, I could see where it might work but the way it was presented did not work for me.
However, the main issue was several female characters that all sounded very similar. As some of these sw books have done, the first quarter of the book seems to be a wasted of time until things really get good. But in this one it never reached the high points by the end. I didn't mind the flashbacks but they were bumpy and didn't flow well for me.
