Historia
One of the predominant reasons that owners abandon or give up their pets (often leading to euthanasia) is because of unwanted behaviors. Many have tried to instruct proper cat training, but this is the first book of its kind to provide an in-depth understanding of the underlying reasons for a cat’s problem behavior, the essential key to unlocking the best for your cat and avoiding pitfalls. Decoding Your Cat gives owners new insight on promoting their cat’s physical and psychological health and wellness and maintaining a long and fulfilling relationship together.

Historia
Because of our highly processed diet, pesticides, and overuse of antibiotics, our guts are now missing so many of the good bacteria that we require to be healthy. As a result, many of us have lost control over our health, weight, mood, and even behavior. With cutting-edge research, Dr. Davis connects the dots between gut health and modern ailments such as SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), a silent and profound epidemic, which affects one out of three people and is responsible for an astounding range of human health conditions.

Repetitive infomercial
Revisado: 01-09-23
I guess the more you repeat something the more people will follow like sheep. This whole book could be put into 25 pages. He takes science and pushes it to the limits. He reminds me of Dr. Oz with the miracle cure that solved everything from bloating, depression, strength, memory, etc. He never has detailed studies backing up much of this. Your doctor does not know anything if he doesn't agree with Dr. Davis. Just because one is a cardiologist does not make one an expert on the gut biome. Quack alert!

The Order of Time

Historia
In lyric, accessible prose, Carlo Rovelli invites us to consider questions about the nature of time that continue to puzzle physicists and philosophers alike. For most listeners, this is unfamiliar terrain. We all experience time, but the more scientists learn about it, the more mysterious it appears. We think of it as uniform and universal, moving steadily from past to future, measured by clocks. Rovelli tears down these assumptions one by one, revealing a strange universe where, at the most fundamental level, time disappears.

Not what I thought

It was okay but I was hoping more physics with less poetry and philosophy. I thought by end he would be singing opera. It started getting into the meaning of life and consciousness.

Historia
Atom Land brings the impossibly small world of particle physics to life, taking listeners on a guided journey through the subatomic world. Listeners will sail the subatomic seas in search of electron ports, boson continents, and hadron islands. The sea itself is the quantum field, complete with quantum waves. Beware dark energy and extra dimensions, embodied by fantastical sea creatures prowling the far edges of the known world. Your tour guide through this whimsical - and highly instructive - world is Jon Butterworth, leading physicist at CERN.

Metaphors don't help
Revisado: 04-10-22
it was okay but he tried to make it like a child's book which just confused the issue. This is a topic you need to have a background in basic physics or you will not understand even though he tries to make into a children's story.

Historia
What is consciousness? Why are we here? Where did it all come from - the laws of nature, the stars, the universe? Humans have been asking these questions forever, but science hasn't succeeded in providing many answers - until now. In The Grand Biocentric Design, Robert Lanza, one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People", is joined by theoretical physicist Matej Pavšic and astronomer Bob Berman to shed light on the big picture that has long eluded philosophers and scientists alike.

Should be in the fiction section.
Revisado: 12-29-20
The author is not a physicist but comes across where he is an expert. Most of the book involves well known proven science. From the proven he goes into pseudo religion which is poorly explained and not convincing. He says it can be falsified to be an acceptable science theory but I am not convinced of any evidence. His theory is so mucked up he tries to brain wash you by repeating the same things over and over. He could have simplified the book to 5 pages of fiction. If people rate this book high they do not have a good background in physics and want to believe in his fantasy where you never die. Your quantum wave just shows up in another conscience being. The Q&A at the end is another confusing mess. You can see where most people don’t grasp his ideas. It might be ideas which are only relevant in his universe which his conscience has created.

Historia
In 2014, James Hamblin launched a series of videos for The Atlantic called "If Our Bodies Could Talk". With it, the doctor-turned-journalist established himself as a seriously entertaining authority in the field of health. Now, in illuminating and genuinely funny prose, Hamblin explores the human stories behind health questions that never seem to go away - and which tend to be mischaracterized and oversimplified by marketing and news media. He covers topics such as sleep, aging, diet, and much more.

Not laid out in an organized fashion
Revisado: 06-08-20
This book bounces all over and is poorly organized. I found it disconcerting when he went from eye color to social warier justice saying Michael Brown was shot in the back by a police officer. This should not be in the book and I did not buy the book to listen to his social warrior opinion.
