Historia
This collection of short stories from the master of modern fiction is available only as an audiobook. In Blood and Smoke, Stephen King takes us inside a world of yearning and paranoia, isolation and addiction. It is the world of the smoker. In this audio-only collection, the now politically incorrect habit plays a key role in the fates of three different men.

Very Good Work
Revisado: 12-01-23
It took a while, but I understand how come Russian and Chinese Revolutionaries read and understood this book more than Marx or Lenin.
It's about fighting the entire social structure, and putting one's heart for the greatest good, even if it kills.
This was a moving story.

Historia
A haunting recollection of a mysterious boyhood event, The Man in the Black Suit leads off this masterful collection from Stephen King. Other dark tales include: All That You Love Will Be Carried Away, in which a man checks into a Lincoln, Nebraska Motel 6 to find the meaning in his life; That Feeling, You Can Only Say What It Is in French, presents the ultimate case of deja vu; and The Death of Jack Hamilton, a blistering tale of Depression-era outlaws on the run.

Historia
When Dr. Louis Creed takes a new job and moves his family to the idyllic, rural town of Ludlow, Maine, this new beginning seems too good to be true. Yet despite Ludlow's tranquility, there's an undercurrent of danger that lingers...like the graveyard in the woods near the Creeds' home, where generations of children have buried their beloved pets.

Wonderfully Scary Story
Revisado: 05-20-18
Hard to believe it has been 35 years since Pet Sematary was published for the public to read in 1983. This is truly one of Steven King's greatest works. Having watched the movie and listened to the Audio Drama, it is wonderful to hear the story that inspired them. Like Tuck Everlasting, the message of this work tells us that Death is a part of life, no matter how tragic it is, however this story takes the horrors of reanimation from Frankenstein and makes such adventures of the horrors a consequence to the story's character Louis Creed. Very scary story, highly recommend it for readers looking for a good scary story.

Historia
In December 2003, after one of the largest, most aggressive manhunts in history, US military forces captured Iraqi president Saddam Hussein near his hometown of Tikrit. Beset by body-double rumors and false alarms during a nine-month search, the Bush administration needed positive identification of the prisoner before it could make the announcement that would rocket around the world. At the time John Nixon was a senior CIA leadership analyst who had spent years studying the Iraqi dictator.

An Engaged look at 2003-2009 in Iraq and America
Revisado: 11-21-17
I am greatly impressed with John Nixon's book. It shows an intimate look at Saddam Hussein, George W. Bush and the Administration from 2001-2009 and the first year of Barack Obama's Presidency and Administration, specifically on Iraq. For those whom protested or supported the 2003 Iraq war, this is the book we have been waiting for. A book with an honest and knowledgeable view of that war and the attitudes during that time.
Yes Saddam was evil, yet the Arab spring could have destroyed him or his successor. But whether then or earlier the best solution would have been for Iraq to overthrow him via another General after Saddam, or popular uprising. John Nixon was right in that even though we could have salvaged our fight in Iraq, we made no effort to save it out of Intellectual Laziness or crude ego over our pride (Our and We referring to Bush's Government) to have won the war.
I appreciated his honest approach in the book and explanation on how American leaders misunderstanding of the tools like the CIA and intelligence hurt our countries effort to be number one in the world (even gave dirt on Bill Clinton) which is a lesson I feel our Current Leader Donald Trump may repeat this mistake.
I highly recommend this book.

In this lecture, Thomas Frank distills the central argument from his New York Times best seller, What's the Matter With Kansas?, which unravels the great political mystery of our day: why do so many Americans vote against their economic and social interests? In this special recorded lecture, Thomas Frank answers the riddle by examining his home state, Kansas, a place once famous for its radicalism.

The Matter With Kansas
Revisado: 01-29-17
This Lecture shows allot about what's going on with the Right and shows another example of how The Tinkerbelle Effect has made many Americans believe in the lies of the Existence of a Liberal Bias. The greatest tragety is that a Generation of Americans continue to vote the same republicans and expect different results. An equal question could be asked on both sides whom shift between Moderate and Conservative. A must read for all in the effort to restore America.

Historia
American history was driven by clashes between those interested in preserving social order and those more interested in pursuing their own desires---the "respectable" versus the "degenerate", the moral versus the immoral. The more that "bad" people existed, resisted, and won, the greater was our common good. In A Renegade History of the United States, Russell introduces us to the origins of our nation's identity as we have never known them before.

Supurb read
Revisado: 01-29-17
I like this book, it shows some aspects of both conservative and liberal events in American History and shows the beautiful America we know and love was born from the Renegade Counterculture and not from the Established Culture we often erroneously credit. A must read for historians
