Historia
Jake Hayes is missing. This much is certain. At first, his wife, Nina, thinks he is blowing off steam at a friend’s house after their heated fight the night before. But then a day goes by. Two days. Five. And Jake is still nowhere to be found. Lily Scott, Nina’s friend and coworker, thinks she may have been the last to see Jake before he went missing. After Lily confesses everything to her husband, Christian, the two decide that nobody can find out what happened leading up to Jake’s disappearance, especially not Nina.

She said yes to Morelli. She said yes to Ranger. Now Stephanie Plum has two fiancés and no idea what to do about it. But the way things are going, she might not live long enough to marry anyone. While Stephanie stalls for time, she buries herself in her work as a bounty hunter, tracking down an unusually varied assortment of fugitives from justice. There’s Eugene Fleck, a seemingly sweet online influencer who might also be YouTube star Robin Hoodie, masked hero to the homeless, who hijacks delivery trucks and distributes their contents to the needy.

Historia
Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

Editors wanted another Girl on the Train
Revisado: 06-06-23
I have only read two Ruth Ware books. This is the second and it started out much like Girl on the Train where the main character was this self-medicating, self-loathing. waste of a person. I feel that someone other than Ruth Ware wanted this story, because somewhere around Part 6 of the book, Ruth Ware puts her foot down and the main character suddenly becomes self aware, confident, and much like the character in the first Ruth Ware book i read. The ending of this book was fantastic, but Lord, the beginning was way to much like the Woman in the Train genre. Please, enough of that genre!

Historia
It’s 1852 and Margaret Lennox, a young widow, attempts to escape the shadows of her past by taking a position as governess to an only child, Louis, at an isolated country house in the west of England. But Margaret soon starts to feel that something isn’t quite right. There are strange figures in the dark, tensions between servants, and an abandoned east wing. Even stranger is the local gossip surrounding Mrs. Eversham, Louis’s widowed mother, who is deeply distrusted in the village.

I loved this book, like i loved Jane Eyre!
Revisado: 04-03-23
I loved the story of Jane Eyre and I wanted this story to be in the same vein as it.
I was not disappointed! I really loved this book. I listened to it in 3 days, which means that whenever i had any downtime whatsoever, it played. I'm kind of sad now that its over. If you like Victorian-spooky-governess-love stories then this is the book for you.

Historia
Molly Gray is not like everyone else. She struggles with social skills and misreads the intentions of others. Her gran used to interpret the world for her, codifying it into simple rules that Molly could live by. Since Gran died a few months ago, twenty-five-year-old Molly has been navigating life’s complexities all by herself. No matter—she throws herself with gusto into her work as a hotel maid. Her unique character, along with her obsessive love of cleaning and proper etiquette, make her an ideal fit for the job.

Revisado: 01-02-23
It was suggested to me because i like mystery, but thats not what makes this book good. The main character is so colorful and wonderful. I found myself thinking things she did when i was cleaning my house while listening to this. i found this book incredibly charming and well written.

Historia
Monday mornings aren’t supposed to be fun, but they should be predictable. However, on this particular Monday, Stephanie Plum knows that something is amiss when she turns up for work at Vinnie’s Bail Bonds to find that longtime office manager Connie Rosolli, who is as reliable as the tides in Atlantic City, hasn’t shown up. Stephanie’s worst fears are confirmed when she gets a call from Connie’s abductor. He says he will only release her in exchange for a mysterious coin that a recently murdered man left as collateral for his bail.

Lorelei King is the best
Revisado: 12-06-22
Janet Evanovich is excellent at comedy writing. Lorelei King brings those characters to life and makes me laugh out loud! Every single one of the books in this series is a treasure. I use to read them, until i found Lorelei King's rendition and i never looked back. I buy the book when it comes out (you can just have volumes 1-14 of a 29 book series!)and download the story, it always brightens my day.

Mariana, who was once herself a student at the university, quickly suspects that behind the idyllic beauty of the spires and turrets, and beneath the ancient traditions, lies something sinister. And she becomes convinced that, despite his alibi, Edward Fosca is guilty of the murder. But why would the professor target one of his students?

This is the second book I have read by this author. It is also the second time I haven't guessed the ending until the author wanted me to know. I read a lot of thrillers and mysteries and thought i had seen it all. Thank you for proving that wrong!!

Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

if you like listening to descriptions of sex...
Revisado: 07-06-22
The story was well done.. ..Except the telling and retelling of fellatio, cunnilingus, and sex. About the 6 or 7th sex scene i just started fast fowarding it. It got to be tedious.

Revisado: 06-05-22
You have to start with Book 1 (this is book 3) but the series is one of the quickest reads I have ever read. This is due to the fact that once I started it, it was hard for me to stop it for things like sleep and showering. I am looking forward to the 4th book because this author is riveting in her storytelling!
