Now, in A Terrible Thing to Waste, award-winning science writer Harriet A. Washington adds her incisive analysis to the fray, arguing that IQ is a biased and flawed metric, but that it is useful for tracking cognitive damage. Historia
The Destruction of Black Civilization is revelatory and revolutionary because it offers a new approach to the research, teaching, and study of African history by shifting the main focus from the history of Arabs and Europeans in Africa to the Africans themselves. The book, thus, offers "a history of blacks that is a history of blacks".

intriguing piece of work
Revisado: 02-11-22
Unfortunately the narration and editing are sub-par as chapter titles are mixed and the narration makes many mistakes in saying names and words.
The story of black history suppression of the past and today is astonishing and sad. I'm inspired to contribute to make it right or at least better. I learned many things from this book.

Historia
Medical Apartheid is the first and only comprehensive history of medical experimentation on African Americans. Starting with the earliest encounters between black Americans and Western medical researchers and the racist pseudoscience that resulted, it details the ways both slaves and freedmen were used in hospitals for experiments conducted without their knowledge - a tradition that continues today within some black populations.

This work is undeniably the most detailed account of experimentation on colored Americans that I have read. I plan to read it again.

Historia
Continuously available in print since 1968, this novel has become embedded in progressive anti-racist culture with wide circulation of the book and hotly debated film. A literary classic, The Spook Who Sat by the Door is a strong comment on entrenched racial inequities in the United States in the late 1960s. With its focus on the “militancy” that characterized the Black Power movement of the 1960s and 1970s, this is the story of one man’s reaction to ruling-class hypocrisy.

In what seemed to be a tumultuous and painful description of perils and triumphs, this book kept my ever decreasing attention span. If anything, it leaves you wanting more life out of your own life.
