Historia
Today the salary cap is an NBA institution, something fans take for granted as part of the fabric of the league or an obstacle to their favorite team’s chances to win a championship. In the early 1980s, however, a salary cap was not only novel but nonexistent. The Cap tells the fascinating, behind-the-scenes story of the deal between the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association that created the salary cap in 1983, the first in all of sports, against the backdrop of a looming players’ strike on one side and threatened economic collapse on the other.

Detailed account of the business of pro basketball

For the real NBA history buffs here. A very complete account of the legal and business wrangling that led up to the NBA salary cap in the 1980s. A few hoops here and there, but mostly hard-core business. My interest faded slightly in a couple of places but absolutely worth it. The narrator was just fine.

In this revelatory, authoritative portrait of Donald J. Trump and the toxic family that made him, Mary L. Trump, a trained clinical psychologist and Donald’s only niece, shines a bright light on the dark history of their family in order to explain how her uncle became the man who now threatens the world’s health, economic security, and social fabric.

Devastating, but couldn't stop listening

Fascinating and horrifying, this helps add detail to explain why the last several years have turned out the way they have. I appreciate Ms. Trump being willing to reveal this much about the dysfunction of her family.

One of my all time favorite stories, for children of all ages. It was a pleasure to find it again.
