Don’t waste your money. Anyone with common sense will know this. No details at all. I was sold initially by the marketed statement, “specifics on what each Ivy is looking for”. You will NOT get this or any helpful info/data here.

Historia
This is a comprehensive guide for quality school admissions including the Ivy League. It is also a parenting method in direct contrast with the tiger mother, point for point. I have detailed information regarding test prep, extra curricular activities, how to choose schools, counselors, high schools, and much more. It has 375 references, a full resource guide that will save the listener hundreds of hours, an index, illustrations, tables, charts, etc.

Not worth the hours listening

This should be titled, “my non-professional thoughts on how to raise your child” instead of “how to nudge your cub into an Ivy League”. Little if any valuable comments on the actual admissions process. And this is one a anecdote. As a doctor he should know that you can’t draw conclusions from one data point. And a data point during Covid when all things were in flux. I could say more about the issues with this audiobook, but am moving on to spend my time productively.

Historia
Getting into a top-ranked college has never seemed more impossible, with acceptance rates at some elite universities dipping into the single digits. In Who Gets in and Why, journalist and higher education expert Jeffrey Selingo dispels entrenched notions of how to compete and win at the admissions game and reveals that teenagers and parents have much to gain by broadening their notion of what qualifies as a "good college". Hint: It's not all about the sticker on the car window.

History, not data you can use
Revisado: 01-01-22
I have now listened to three hours of this audiobook. A total waste of my time. It’s all about history and anecdotal data from individuals that author found. Nothing concrete no structure to the process. Parents want data that will help them understand and navigate the current college process, not a verbose rendition of a 1970s and 80s history lesson. Very disappointed in the waste of my purchase
