Historia
In this Hemingway fiction in our time, author Scott Fivelson takes listeners on a literary journey from Paris to Pamplona, as a marathoner on his last legs reflects on the sport as it might have been written about if Hemingway had been a runner. A Farewell to Legs is both a satire of a classic and a classic satire.

A Timeless Quest - “The Thing With the Legs”

This is an excellent satirical piece. Quick wit, humor, and a great short story.
I love how Ernest Hemingway’s granddaughter reads the story. She captures the essence and humor within, and has an easy voice to listen to.
It’s a fun, quick piece, and makes you think. I think everyone who reads or listens to it will get a different message. It has a flavor all it’s own, but somehow, within the fun story, it’s a motivational piece.
Life is meant to be lived, and this story is an excellent satirical and witty piece that will stick with you.
Keep on running - in whichever way you can through the meandering course of life. But remember to wear your Nike’s, no matter what!

Historia
Without John C. Houbolt, a mid-level engineer at NASA, Apollo 11 would never have made it to the moon. Top NASA engineers on the project, including Werner Von Braun, strongly advocated for a single, huge spacecraft to travel to the moon, land, and return to Earth. It's the scenario used in 1950s cartoons and horror movies about traveling to outer space. Houbolt had another idea: Lunar Orbit Rendezvous. LOR would link two spacecraft in orbit while the crafts were travelling at 3,600 miles an hour around the moon. His plan was ridiculed and considered unthinkable.

Well done, interesting, great storytelling. A great moral tale as well as illuminating and thought-provoking. What would you do if you were convinced you were right, and you were the only one? Great storytelling.

Historia
When Charles Darwin finished The Origin of Species, he thought that he had explained every clue but one. Though his theory could explain many facts, Darwin knew that there was a significant event in the history of life that his theory did not explain. During this event, the "Cambrian explosion", many animals suddenly appeared in the fossil record without apparent ancestors in earlier layers of rock. In Darwin's Doubt, Stephen C. Meyer tells the story of the mystery surrounding this explosion of animal life.

My Favorite Book on Fossils - So cool!
Revisado: 07-13-17
HELPFUL NOTE: TO Find the supplementary visuals for the audiobook go to Audible online from the computer. Under Library -> MY BOOKS -> Darwin's Doubt -> PDF. That is where the "extended portion of this audiobook" is that it keeps mentioning while listening. The diagrams are really useful. Excellent audiobook.
I am so glad at how thorough this book is. It never ceased to make me happy. Well written with such useful information, especially if you love learning about science, the universe, and where God fits into all of it.
It is a critique of neo-Darwinism, but it is 100% level-headed. If you are seriously interested in learning about the fossil record, regardless of whether or not you are someone of faith - this book will open your eyes in ways that you wouldn't even imagine. I was a major in ecology, behavior and evolution, and this book was so palatable for me.
I can't imagine my life before this book - I've had so many questions about the Earth and the fossil record that were answered successfully by this wonderful work of scientific inquiry.
Full marks.
