voice actors should be chosen with the bias

there were moments I wanted to gouge out my ears when either of the voice actors took over. sometimes the female voice actress would pause after every single word, like she didn't know how to read a sentence, or like she was some kind of robot. it was exacerbating. as for the male voice actor, he wasn't bad... but he wasn't all that good either... kind of had some kind of weird whiny golden retriever type energy.

I honestly had the hardest time getting past the almost monotone and jerky reading of the voice actor. She only seems to read fluently with male characters or those with accents. the rest of the time it's grating on the ears.

This reads out like some horny 12 yr old learned a few big words and found Daddy's old Hustler. I couldn't even make it to the "good" stuff... the only reason I got as far as I did was the male voice actor has a deep growly voice. But, even that wasn't enough when the dialogue was atrocious and repetitive.

before the end of the book, there were at least 3 suspects the author has you convinced is the killer. as someone with pattern recognition, that's hard to do to me, so well done!

I like the twist on Peter Pan, but there was no build up to the smut. it was instant, like a bad porn."I'm a virgin" but let me grind out an orgasm on the 1st date I have with a bad boy. It was like having a guy fumble around trying to find the clit and failing. No buildup, no foreplay.

decent listen... love the actors.

It's a good sexy story. If your looking for masturbatory material that has a decent story line, it's here. The audio actors are good ... especially the male actor. His voice does things.
The only thing I didn't like is that a lot...A LOT... of spicy books have this 3 or more mates - reverse harem things going on. Not that it's a bad thing exactly, it's just almost identical no matter the writer. Always one character that represents death in some way (vampire in this case), then a immortal berserker of some kind (shifter here), and then some stoic or icy demi-god (fae here). And always the heroine is so much more than she seems... over the top and has some crushing vice she has to overcome. I've lost count of how many stories go this way.
Like I said, it's a decent story with good writing that doesn't use repetitive phrases or words to paint a picture of the characters personality, but it did incorporate an over used recipe. For that reason alone deducted a star.

Granted, once the main character changes his accent to fit in, sometimes I'll lose who's talking, but aside from that: the different voices, the background noises, everything just makes this a lovely experience!
