Revisado: 11-18-24
I look forward to watching Aya’s career. She seems so interesting and down to earth with great family stories. I hope she doesn’t get flack from oversharing. You could build an entire episode around Gran Champ and Gary. Fun episode!

Spanning the years 1900 to 1977, The Covenant of Water is set in Kerala, on South India’s Malabar Coast, and follows three generations of a family that suffers a peculiar affliction: in every generation, at least one person dies by drowning—and in Kerala, water is everywhere. At the turn of the century, a twelve-year-old girl from Kerala’s long-existing Christian community, grieving the death of her father, is sent by boat to her wedding, where she will meet her forty-year-old husband for the first time.

Inspiring
Revisado: 06-22-24
So interesting and inspiring. Williams dug into details we would have never known. The ‘boys’ were respectful and asked appropriate interesting questions. There cracks were to a minimum and language restricted to proper English. Loved the episode.

Bowen’s stories were so real & unique. It makes me think all guests should have hangovers. Bowen’s family travels had some humorous & sad situations. We got to know the real Bowen. Overall, one of the best.

Historia
Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

Remarkable!
Revisado: 04-04-24
Beautifully told story full of imagery, making me feeling as if I were watching from a corner. The narrators pace and speech patterns invited you into the mythical world of the gods and humans. Induces me to want to hear/read more by the author and the narrator. I highly recommend this to those who want to escape and learn. Loved it!

Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard.
