Hello to you, I am with news. I have a new book: I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest With You. I know – what an intriguing title! Basically, I have had an unexpectedly difficult decade – there have been surprising joys but also deep revelations and challenging lows. I shall be honest about those, because what I discovered in the difficult times were my, what I call, treasures.

Miranda, you are a gem ❤️❤️❤️
Revisado: 01-06-25
Miranda Hart is a jewel. I picked her book not even knowing the genre or content because I knew it would enjoyable. The fact that she was narrating Was a such a plus. I had no idea she struggled with a debilitation condition. She has written a sensitive and valuable book, sprinkled with humor and wit on her struggles with self acceptance, awareness and the challenging health she suffered for decades that we can relate to on many levels. I loved that she was speaking to us, her cherished readers. Well done, Miranda.

Historia
In Sweden there is a kind of decluttering called döstädning, dö meaning "death" and städning meaning "cleaning." This surprising and invigorating process of clearing out unnecessary belongings can be undertaken at any age or life stage but should be done sooner rather than later, before others have to do it for you. In The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning, artist Margareta Magnusson, with Scandinavian humor and wisdom, instructs listeners to embrace minimalism.

Clear, gentle and Inspiring!
Revisado: 11-19-24
I was delighted with this book. The narrator is great. The author is clear yet gentle, about dealing with this sometimes hard to face subject. She may be ‘between 80 and 100 but she is sharp and shares her wisdoms with wit and humor. I found her insights very helpful and enjoyed her personal stories as she touched on the different areas we all need to address at some point. This is actually a book I will want in my library, hard copy. Very helpful.

Simply beautiful Kingsolver treat
Revisado: 12-02-23
I adored listening to this. She reminded me of the fragile beauties of flora and fauna and past lives that exist in the desert and my fondness for the Tucson area in particular. I had somehow missed the fact that she grew up in a small Kentucky town and enjoyed hearing about it with the hint of that Appalachian accent in her narration. My biggest complaint was my surprise at the Audible version being so short! No! It can’t be over!!
I must have this book on my library shelf.

Historia
At the end of the Second World War, Cyril Conroy combines luck and a single canny investment to begin an enormous real estate empire, propelling his family from poverty to enormous wealth. His first order of business is to buy the Dutch House, a lavish estate in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia. Meant as a surprise for his wife, the house sets in motion the undoing of everyone he loves. The story is told by Cyril’s son Danny, as he and his older sister, the brilliantly acerbic and self-assured Maeve, are exiled from the house where they grew up by their stepmother.

What’s in a name
Revisado: 02-09-23
Great writing and an incredible story. Spanning generations and hardships unimaginable the writer tells a story of steadfast courage and the redemption of struggle, pain and loss, by the holy mission of keeping the names. They will not be lost. They will not be forgotten. And Lord willing, the Lost Friends will be found.
