Historia
Stretched to his limit, Tamas is relying heavily on his few remaining powder mages, including the embittered Taniel, a brilliant marksman who also happens to be his estranged son, and Adamat, a retired police inspector whose loyalty is being tested by blackmail. But when gods are involved....Now, as attacks batter them from within and without, the credulous are whispering about omens of death and destruction. Just old peasant legends about the gods waking to walk the earth. No modern educated man believes that sort of thing. But they should....

Historia
Blaine McFadden endured six long years in the brutal Velant prison colony, exiled for murder. War devastated his homeland of Donderath and destroyed the magic on which the Ascendant Kingdoms relied. Now Blaine and a small group of fellow exiles have returned to a lawless wasteland, where unrestrained magic storms wreak havoc and monsters roam free. Yet, amidst the chaos, rumors persist of a new magic that could restore the kingdoms. But the key lies with a dangerous, ancient ritual and a group of vanished survivors.

enjoyable listen, lots of false struggle
Revisado: 11-27-19
Tim Gerald Reynolds is fantastic as always and I do enjoy the characters quite a bit. but the overall story and conflicts that the main characters face all seem inconsequential when most of them they are barely affected by in the long run and even when a character dies they are quickly forgotten about.

Historia
In this dark and gritty collection - featuring short stories from Jim Butcher, Seanan McGuire, Kevin J. Anderson, and Rob Thurman - nothing is as simple as black and white, light and dark, good and evil.... Unfortunately, that's exactly what makes it so easy to cross the line.

If you're looking for Dresden, don't bother…

only one Dresden (Molly) story
Revisado: 09-22-18
the Molly story was good, if not a little rushed, bummed that it was the only Dresden story in the book. I was expecting this book to be more like the other 0.5 iteration where there was a collection of stories from other characters point of views but I guess I misunderstood the summary. didn't finish, only listened to Molly's story, onto the next one.

Historia
In the wake of a devastating attack, an amnesty has been declared for all Augurs - finally allowing them to emerge from hiding and openly oppose the dark forces massing against the land of Andarra. As the Augur Davian and his new allies hurry north toward the ever-weakening Boundary, however, fresh horrors along their path suggest that their reprieve may have come far too late. His ally in the Capital, the new Northwarden, contends with assassins and politicians and uncovers a dangerous political secret.

Historia
Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but longstanding enmities dividing the Rhune make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods? The answer lies across the sea in a faraway land populated by a reclusive and dour race who feel nothing but disdain for both Fhrey and mankind.

it passed the time
Revisado: 10-21-17
narrator was amazing. the book went on the weirdest tangents about a love story between 2 characters and it felt repetitive and and with almost no point. this book drilled the character flaws into each character with an iron hammer and played on cliches way too hard. also was a little 'invention ex machina' whenever it suited, used way too liberally... in the end the book served its purpose to pass the time between other series I'm waiting on. Michael j Sullivan has done far better work and I hope this series can be saved

Historia
In Age of Myth, fantasy master Michael J. Sullivan launched audiences on an epic journey of magic and adventure, heroism and betrayal, love and loss. Now the thrilling saga continues as the human uprising is threatened by powerful enemies from without—and bitter rivalries from within. Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but long-standing enmities dividing the Rhunes make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods?
