Interesting about South Africa, but weak ending
Revisado: 04-04-17
The story about diamond mining in South Africa was nteresting, but the contrived ending was the reason for three stars.

Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

What a story!
Revisado: 01-05-17
I've always liked Trevor Noah and have seen him perform live, but now I admire him even more after listening to his memoir. But the really amazing person in this story is his mother. Wow, what a woman. She is someone I would like to meet.
Trevor's narration is fantastic, especially all the accents and languages he can speak. It really made it seem you were in South Africa with him. Inspiring story I can highly recommend.

Historia
This version of the Bennet family - and Mr. Darcy - is one that you have and haven't met before: Liz is a magazine writer in her late 30s who, like her yoga instructor older sister, Jane, lives in New York City. When their father has a health scare, they return to their childhood home in Cincinnati to help - and discover that the sprawling Tudor they grew up in is crumbling, and the family is in disarray.

Engaging update of Pride and Prejudice
Revisado: 10-26-16
Loved the narrator, she brought the story to life. The story was an interesting attempt to modernize P&P and most of it worked. Only a few times did it seem a bit contrived to make it fit a contemporary setting. Great listen for fans of Jane Austen.

Historia
It’s 2011, and Samuel Andresen-Anderson—college professor, stalled writer—has a Nix of his own: his mother, Faye. He hasn’t seen her in decades, not since she abandoned the family when he was a boy. Now she’s re-appeared, having committed an absurd crime that electrifies the nightly news, beguiles the internet, and inflames a politically divided country. The media paints Faye as a radical hippie with a sordid past, but as far as Samuel knows, his mother was an ordinary girl who married her high-school sweetheart.
